Well you just taught me something. Sounds reasonable to me also. Thank crystalk! At FR, we get questions answered. At DU, they cry about songs. Go figure...

I believe "house" refers to House, which would imply not Senate but House. Lee "Don't Call Me Fletch" Fletcher is the 'pub' and Rodney "Dangerfield" Alexander is the Rat.

She is still upset that the city of Santa Monica California voted down a minimum wage increase (yep, municipalities in California not only have foreign policies, they do other macro stuff too), and due to the ensuing depression, can't get out of bed and to her keyboard. Send her an Xmas card.

Here's more from the "weeping" thread.
there is a time for every purpose under heaven." I'm sorry, but I'm listening to this wonderful music and I'm wondering what happened to us. What will happen to this generation? Bring the music back, give me another chance to make the difference I thought I would make. Too late for me I'm afraid. I wonder about you younger guys.

Typed from my Webster's 9th New Collegiate: Riding [ME-redying or trithing, alter. of (assumed) OE thriding, from ON thrithjungr third part, etc.] (1514) 1: one of three administrative jurisdictions into which Yorkshire, England was formerly divided 2: an administrative jurisdiction or electoral district in a British dominion (as Canada) This seems to be right on the mark. They are officially called "electoral districts", but probably many folks refer to them (still) as ridings.
Thank you!

Reminds me of a phrase with sexual connotations we used to say when a kid, I was "eight" before I was seven.
you mean before you were nine. Here's another one. What's the square root of 69?
Answer: Eight something.
To: Bogey78O
Thanks -- go Suzy!!
I just figured since we're here we may as well pick up another house seat!

Dude, my pepsi just flew out of my nose. That's funny as sheeeiiite. Those guys are blaming the Repubs b/c the Dem party in N.O. sent out flyers telling voters that the polls were 100s of miles away. How are the Repubs responsible for that? Somehow they are blaming them. Oh Lord!!!!!!!!
To: section9
Thanks for the education on "DU" everybody.

Enough talk, give me some numbers, lie, I don't care, I want numbers, rat turn out, Black turn out, green turn out, I need numbers.
To: tbg681
Well technically it's "maintain a house seat". The soon to be former holder is a Republican.
To: Fury
They are ridings but we are their constituents!! See what the Brits did to us. At least we don't get hung up with hanging chads. We just mark an X.
