Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!
Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Well what can we say - they are RETARDED at DU!! Hey CO, is a "riding" about the same in Canada as a precinct is in the States?

LOL - Don't forget that James Carville and his garbage can. That's two votes.

might be just the boy toy you need to perk you up. One could talk politics simultaneously with getting an aerobic workout.

Looks like AP is calling it for MAry :
story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=683&e=5&u=/ap/20021207/ap_on_el_se/louisiana_senate
"Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu (news, bio, voting record) faced a surprisingly fierce challenge from newcomer Suzanne Haik Terrell in a runoff Saturday, as Republicans tried to extend their midterm election triumph by padding their Senate majority to 52 seats. "

Yesterday it was a tossup. There is so much spin going on on this thread, that now I am just dizzy. But if Terrell is really getting two thirds of the white vote, she will win.

Hopefully our votes will help put Suze over the top. I checked the turnout at my precinct about 6 PM, and we had about 50% better turnout than in the general election in November, and the polls were going to open another two hours. This is good news for Suzie, since Suzie will get the vast majority of the votes in my neck of the woods. My daughters also reported a good turnout at their precincts.
I voted early this morning and was out all day with a 4-member (plus me) get-out-the-vote team. We are very pleased with our results. Will head to the Suzie Terrell victory party soon. I am feeling better and better about our chances as the day goes on. I can sense the prayers of the many people who have said that they are praying for Suzie's victory. This election is about good versus evil, and good must prevail!

Have we won with a landslide yet?

Come to think of it - where on earth did they get a "riding" from?? It sounds kinda dumb but means the same thing. Some areas do have precints (sp?) also.

In the past several weeks the candidates ads have abandoned saying anything positive at all about themselves and concentrated solely on attack ads against the other candidate. I don't think that the candidates have entirely abandoned positive advertising. The ad with Mrs. Terrell's daughters is positive, and I've seen another positive ad for her. I think a couple of her radio ads are positive. The race has become ugly, but it isn't completely ugly.

I still don't see how you infer anything from this story. It could have been written a week ago. There are no conclusions about today's results.

All I have to say is that we are all REALLY addicted to election reports! What are we going to do after tonight? LOL! I was thinking the exact same thing.
Even though I know the polls don't close until around 8PM, I've been coming back to this thread all afternoon...hoping to find any little scrap of news or update.
You're right..it's almost pathetic.
Look at all the posts in this thread already and the results haven't even started to come in yet.
Thank God for the new format that breaks these threads up into smaller sections for viewing.
I remember the old 1000+ election threads that would crash my computer just trying to open them!

when someone asks me how i'm doing, i respond with "i'm sick, sad, sorry and sober all at the same damn time"!!! that usually either makes 'em laugh or just stand there and look stupid. lolI say "I'm old, tired, fat, my back hurts, and my children are bitchen'" that almost always gets a laugh! ;-)

I find it rather odd that Drudge hasn't posted any exit info yet...
