Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!

Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Well, having been gone most of the day I have waded through this entire thread. All I have to say is that we are all REALLY addicted to election reports! What are we going to do after tonight? LOL!

Maybe we should start paying attention to student body elections on large campuses or something. You do realize that we are a trifle pathetic, don't you?

I include myself in this mix, because I have read every single post on this thread, including various projections of the percentage of votes, which parishes are Rat vs. Republican, Justin Wilson's birthplace discussion, the merits of LSU vs. Tulane, poor street conditions in New Orleans, stories of various corrupt Louisiana politicians, and weather and its effects on the hunting season.

And I am now prepared to be here until the election is called. Ha!

Outstanding is good. Personally I try to respond with "fortunate". It tends to elicit a sincere response at which time I make the point, "but aren't we all?" This little tactic reminds me of this fact and helps keep my thoughts positive.

But, she TRIED, and without Nader, she figures she would have gotten TN Al elected.

I rechecked my precinct at about five this afternoon. The turnout was already about 37% and the election folks were saying that they expected 30 to 35 percent. I'm guessing that it will trend towards just over 40%. A smaller precinct that votes in the same school was already at 40% turnout.

I checked another location, but they wouldn't give me as much information. About 700 people had voted on one list and about 270 on the other. I couldn't tell whether these lists represented two different precincts. Both seemed to have been printed around noon. If I read them correctly, I'd guess that turnout will be in the 40 to 45 percent range there.

I live in Ascension Parish which is just southeast of Baton Rouge. I believe the total Republican vote in November was just slightly higher than the total Democrat vote. Obviously, I have no way of knowing which folks are voting.

One of my pet peeves is, when asking someone how they are, the respond "good". No, you're not good, you're well.

Where I live, if you corrected people on that one a couple of times, you wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

No one would talk to you.

What's that latest? Is it all over?

I just read this on Yahoo and, the way it is worded, it sounds like Landrieu won.

Terrell: 52.5%
Landrieu: most of the rest

;-`

...so long as the GOP voters finish strong this evening, which thanks to the Ralph Reed plan, they well; and that Democrat fraud is frightened away, which it will be thanks to Gentleman John Ashcroft.

On Nov 5th the stations were dragging their feet to report the totals. The SOS beat them by at lest 45 minutes throughout the night.

If Terrell does well expect the same.

Agreed. It's not something I mention to folks, unless it's the Office Democrat - I can't resist.

What are you talking about? I just read the story, and there's nothing about it that implies that either candidate is ahead.

Relax, the mainstream story line for the last week was a 'suprise challenge', the text of this on Yahoo yields nothing on today's voting.
