Nah, the other 10percent think a pelosi is some kind of pastry you can get in a small bakery owned by Italians.

If only men were allowed to vote in 2000, Bush would have won ALL BUT 6 STATES!! Yes, we need a massive re-education program for women in this country.
Abortion-worship is destroying the fabric of this nation by putting in power left-wing idealogues such as Hillary, Debbie Stabenow, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray. It is truly revolting.
To: Miss Marple
You gloomy pepople are so depressing! Yeh. It would have been nice, but we lost nothing. Landrue'll get no goodies from Washington now anyway. Her state is toast as far as pork. LOL
To: writmeister
I think the Republicans lost this race in Louisiana... Cooksey and the current Gov just couldn't bring themselves to happily endorse her...
I guess has a choice to make: Louisiana in 2004 or hispanic votes in relation to sugar...
To: Miss Marple
Anyone going to be able to watch any news show today or tomorrow after this including FOX? All bad news on all shows all the time. It will be like we do not controll anything. Well in MN. we got the gov. and a 30 seat lead in the house and only trailing in the sen. by 4 seats. 4-4 and 1-1 in the us house and senate. Also with everyone in the state begging for tax increse to make up a 4.2 billion def. a GOV. that says NO!! we will cut spending.
To: writmeister
No, we would have been better off with Cooksey staying in the House. We would have had to have someone other than the field that entered the Senate primary to defeat Landrieu. I have no idea who this mythical candidate might have been. But I certainly did not mean Cooksey.

Thank you to all you "alleged" Republicans (Colloway, Coulon, Foster) for sabatoging our party and humilating our state. If the later two werent already in your last terms, I'd vote you out!!
To: MAKnight
Any Democrat gloating tomorrow can be easily shown to be a fool. They lost control of the Senate, of Georgia, and possibly redistricting gains in several Southern states. They control zero in DC.
Dem gloating will be like an idiot football player celebrating a tackle when his team has already blown the game.

Never underestimate the power of Karl Rove. Nuff said. Karl Rove f*cked this one up big time with the O'Neill nonsense a day before this crucial race.

AP has called it for Landrieu.....Damn!Hmmm.... I never thought of Louisiana as being loaded with parasites, goofballs, athiests, single welfare mothers, minority "victims", losers, lesbians and homosexuals, but there you go....
To: Recovering_Democrat
Hey go easy on us. Many of us tried.

"Still not too shabby. A stronger Pubbie could have prevailed handily in a diehard Dem state(the only left in the old CSA with more registered Dems than Pubbies). That says something. The worm is definitely turning and the old Long machine remnants are getting rusty."
Problem is, I'm hard pressed to think of any other likely candidates, besides the governor, who made it clear from the beginning that he wasn't going to run, no way, no how. Terrell WAS the strongest Republican out there. It's not like there was a dream candidate sitting on the sidelines. The White House beat the bushes (no pun intended) to get several Republicans in the race and force a runoff.
Apparently the black vote wasn't very energized, yet Landrieu STILL won, more easily than she did against Woody Jenkins, who IMHO was a weaker opponent than Terrell. That's troubling.

BOYCOTT LOUISIANA!! Okay!!
[but I never go to Louisiana : )]
To: Miss Marple
Indeed. I still look forward to January.
Sorry DU, but all your senate are still belong to us.
To: wardaddy
Thanks for the detailed reply. It seems Landrieu's association with the much beloved (in Louisiana) Senator Breaux, who has been her almost constant companion in the last month, helped push her over the top. (That, along with the black vote, as you mentioned).
To: Theodore R.
Well if Breaux runs for Gov, Terrell should try again...
To: GOPcapitalist
Screw them and their brown sugar. Screw em harder now.

Many of us tried. What are you "tried" of, Search4Truth? lol
To: Kuksool
This reminds me of 1998, when the posters on this website expected a huge Republican victory, just as Dick Morris predicted. Well, I knew this seat was probably lost by Terrell three weeks ago when Dick Morris on Fox said that Landrieu was sure to lose since she got below 50 percent in the first election! Carl Cameron said at 9 tonite that the Terrell people expected this to be a short evening, AND THEY WERE RIGHT!
