Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!

Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Oh no - condoms are absolutely not okay either (but condoms are not abortifacients, like the pill is).

But I agree with you - I have no idea why Terrell thought this would be a winning issue for her. Abortion, yes, but not this birth control, for the simple reason that Catholics are (to my knowledge) the only faith that excludes all forms of birth control (NFP is not birth control, but that's another story for another thread).

Further, while watching the debates, I would often cringe at something Terrell had said. How did this woman win the primary, anyway? What happened to Woody Jenkins? And I mean this even if Terrell pulls this out, which I hope she does.

Agreed.

Btw, I'm now watching boxing on HBO and haven't been keeping track of the election. Last I heard it was 50%/50%. What's going on?

My brother-in-law, who also thinks Terrell is ugly, is married to a woman who outweighs me by 70 pounds (I'm at 199).

Well, then, I owe you a little more respect, seeing as how you (at199) could easily whip my ass (I'm below 165).

Now, as for a GOOD-looking Arab lady. Did you catch the picture of Miss Australia (at the recent, ill-fated Miss World contest)? A Catholic or Christian Lebanese-Australian -- in fact a FORMER Miss Lebanon (or, at least, a runner-up thereto). I bet SHE would have TROUNCED Proud Mary!

Good one about the hangovers!

Check your anti's.

The news showed Landrieu out beating the bushes and fighting hard at the end. Have to respect that.

Frankly, I was surprised this seat was in play at all, as from the viewpoint of her State, she was a nice person and had done a good job. That they are this close to turning her out is a surprise to me.

Her looking like the underdog at the end probably turned the tide for her.

I used to think Landrieu was very attractive physically, but that has entirely dissipated in the past few years.

Yeah, Mary really let herself go. She used to be kind of cute. Now, dog city. She should have kept her old makeup person...nasty.

Hint: look up "Atkins diet" on Google, and lighten up on the "racism" nonsense, or go join DU.

Hint: lighten up on the "butt-ugly Arab" nonsense, or STFU.

And you are a POS, clymer.

And your debating skills are lacking.

Or, maybe you've had one too many beers?

I don't think that had much to do with it. Alexander, being a state Representative, was close with the courthouse machines in all the rural parishes. He had that vote locked up.

And Fletcher DID run the dumbest campaign imaginable. I reiterate, if you're going to make an issue of something your opponent's done, make sure your own hands are clean. From day one Fletcher's campaign made Alexander's apparent faioure to pay state taxes on a business he once owned THE issue, hammering it over and over in ads. Then in the final week of the campaign, it came to light the Fletcher himself had a lien against him for nonpayment of unemployment taxes on his campaign workers. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

The St. Tammany margin is awful for Terrell; she's going to lose. A very poor race; Bush should have come in Thursday, NOT Tuesday. But I still think yesterday's economic disarray is what finally did her and the congressional candidate in. A disaster of a night.
