Hon, have you been to new orleans. If so , you would have little faith in the populace. It is as corrupt a city as I have ever seen.

A large percent, don't know numbers, of catholics have profound disagreements with the church on this.Based on the election results it would appear that the much hyped Louisanna democrats masking as devout Catholics have a profound disagreement with the church based--so much so that Landreau trumps the Pope.

In the interest of fairness, could we have your assessment of Mary's looks and ethnicity?
To: Torie
Ouch - half of Orleans parish remains to come in, with Mary L holding a 5:1 lead (44,188 to 9510).
Jefferson parish has 0 of 261 precincts (what's French for "precinct"?) reporting. Two other parishes are non-reporting as well.

Hey, She's a first cousin of one of my Great Aunts. Great Aunt? What are you 10 years old?
Look I hate to say it but she is not attractive. A definite turn off for Southern voters when it comes to women.
To: montag813
Oh, yeah? How about that RAT-scag from CT?

Didn't the two guys that Terill beat later endorse Landrieu? I heard that on election night and I thought "that can't be good".

No its..."Who am!..Who am a razzist?

I did not say what you said. Besides, I think she is good looking. And she is Lebanese, grew up here, like the rest of us who came from all over.
To: montag813
Just say it...Terrell is a butt-ugly Arab. Voters don't like nasty-looking women.Shame on you fool.

Montag813.
To: Hermann the Cherusker
That's quite an article--and the results aren't on the Sec'y State site yet!
"According to complete but unofficial returns, Terrell had 30,568 Lafayette votes, or 59 percent. Landrieu had 21,144 votes, or 41 percent. The size of Terrells lead makes it likely that her campaign here, which included an appearance by Vice President Dick Cheney on Nov. 18 at Lafayettes City Club, lured Democratic votes away from Landrieu.
Statewide, Landriue had a 52-48 lead with about 70 percent of the states precincts reporting, according to The Associated Press.
Terrell, the Louisiana elections commissioner, had a big edge in absentee votes in Lafayette Parish. She won 2,051, or 77.4 percent, to 598, or 22.6 percent, for Landrieu."

Just say it...Terrell is a butt-ugly Arab. Voters don't like nasty-looking women. As someone said previously, why don't you STFU?
To: Mudbug
"I wish we knew which parishes were still out"
Exactly. No point in getting anxious until we know which ones haven't reported. Now, is the time to hang tough.
FR is soooooooo slow, it is driving me nutz

In the interest of fairness, could we have your assessment of Mary's looks and ethnicity?
Well, you didn't ask me, but, she is -- in my view -- hands down -- the best-looking member of the Senate today.
Perhaps you prefer Hillary's looks? LOL.
