Tell us how crowded/not crowded it was when you went to vote!

Did you see voter fraud and what is the talk about exit polling and the possible outcome?

Maybe Daschle will, but he will be competing with the Iraq story and the economic team firings. Not much traction, IMHO. If we have to lose one, I would rather it be under the radar. Ha!

I guess LA has more poor people than the Republicans thought. Landrieu is strong all over the state. It is incredible that she is not yet in the lead. I guess she will be in the lead within the next ten minutes.

It appears that the very darkest, most Dem precincts of New Orleans [about a sixth of the city's total] was the first to be reported in.

Half of New Orleans just gushed in all at once putting Landrieu up 20,000.

100 precincts are still out in St. Tammany, 100 precincts are out in East Baton Rouge and 46 out in Union. It is my understanding that these should be GOP boxes.

Calcasieu, Lafayette, and Jefferson are the big parishes still out with no reporting. I have no idea what way they lean.

I'm sure he will. I'm still mystified why Robert Barham didn't make a better showing, running a distant fourth among the "serious" candidates, despite an endorsement (albeit a lukewarm one) from Governor Foster. He might make another run next time.

Another possible name is former Senate President Randy Ewing, provided he doesn't win the governor's race (he's a longshot at this point). Nothing to back this up, just speculation. I have no idea whether he'd even be interested, but he has the name recognition and would be a strong candidate for the Democrats...moderate, squeaky clean businessman. If Alexander wins, I doubt he'd run, but I could see the Democrats prevailing on him to take on Fletcher if he ends up winning this time.

I'm afraid Landrieu has won this one. The sugar thing was the clincher.

Sheesh, Terrell getting smashed in NO, and Landru competitive in Jefferson. Turn out the lights, Suzie.

Does it really look that bad? More precincts have reported and the Terrell lead is lengthening. So far, none of the Jefferson Parish precincts have reported. Mrs. Terrell expected to get most of her votes there. Likewise, East Baton Rouge is considered a strong Republican parish, and only half of the precincts have reported.
