HILLARY CLINTON LACKS COGNITIVE CAPACITY TO LEAD

Matthews: Hillary Wanted Questions in Advance

While preparing for her interview with "Hardball" host Chris Matthews last week, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton tried to pressure MSNBC producers to give her a list of his questions ahead of time.

"Right up until five minutes before the show her staff people were begging for the questions," Matthews told radio host Don Imus Thursday morning.

"I don't know whether that was her deal with (David) Letterman or what," the TV talker complained, referring to Mrs. Clinton's appearance two years ago on CBS's "Late Show," where producers actually did give her a list of questions beforehand.

For his show, Matthews insisted, "There were no deals." He sounded somewhat stunned that Sen. Clinton's would presume he would rig the interview and help her cheat.

"The idea that you can wait till the last minute and then come in and say, 'Well, what are all the questions?' - we weren't gonna do it," he told Imus.

The "Hardball" host said he didn't understand why Clinton's staffers persisted in demanding a heads-up right up until airtime, telling Imus, "I don't know what she was gonna do with five or ten minutes. Maybe (she'd) get on the phone if she didn't know something, or (she thought) I was gonna jump her or something or do an Inchon landing on her secret plans or something."

hillary's head revisited:

hillary clinton's brain (such as it is) II

 by Mia T

The smartest woman in the world would relish "the raucous give and take of American democracy, " as Charles Kuralt once put it.

hillary clinton, by contrast, subsists on cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind...

In her new book, Political Fictions, Joan Didion indicts the fakery of access journalism practiced by vacant politicos like the clintons, whom she sees as "purveyors of fables of their own making, or worse, fables conceived by political strategists with designs on votes, not news."

(More Didion: "No one who ever passed through an American public high school could have watched William Jefferson Clinton running for office in 1992 and failed to recognize the familiar predatory sexuality of the provincial adolescent.")

THE HILLARY, YOU KNOW, CLINTON TRANSCRIPT:

Analyzed and Annotated

by Mia T

January 22, 2002

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE [YOU KNOW] 'UPDATED'

ABSTRACT

Background:

Using internal polling, the clinton 'infrastructure' determined that its cozy-clintonoid-interviews-of-the-Colmes/King-kind-scheme is no longer working. The scheme, which successfully shepherded and shielded the vacuous, inept, corrupt clintons for nine years, is now, post-9/11, yielding diminishing returns--and worse--increasing ridicule.

Hence, we had the clinton 'infrastructure' interviewer recalculation last week that specified more interviewer gravitas...and less lapdog...but not more doggedness...that is to say...that specified Jeff Greenfield.

A miscalculation, as it turned out. Greenfield made up in contempt what he lacked in inexorability. Although he conducted the entire interview circumambulating on eggshells, Greenfield did eventually ask the hard-boiled questions...

ASIDE: The tough questioning was followed by Greenfield's sudden, post-interview departure from CNN, a development which will only further reinforce cozy-clintonoid-interviews-of-the-Colmes/King-kind 4th-estate malfeasance.

Analysis:

Greenfield's circuitous path to clinton depravity and failure necessitates a nonlinear analysis of the data; we will use a (nonlinear) least squares curve fitter. Proportional hazards political survival regression analysis will generate a political survival curve for hillary clinton, which will show her viability (so to speak) over time.

Political survival time is defined as the length of the interval between the initial political trial balloon and political moribundity. Political moribundity is defined as two consecutive political failures--(one in the case of 9/11), or three not-necessarily-consecutive boo-filled public appearances, or one instance of a serious proposal generating laughter.

ASIDE: Since by any of these standards, hillary clinton is already flatlined, the more interesting question for this analysis would be: "What the hell is this moribund loser doing in the political arena, anyway?"

Survival is influenced by one or more factors, called "predictors" or "covariates", which may be categorical (such as the quality of 'infrastructure') or continuous (such as intellect or eloquence or character).

Results:

  • clinton rigor mortis rendered any discussion of clinton moribundity moot.

  • Nonetheless, one of the more significant continuous predictors of political moribundity is clinton's tic-like insertion of "you know," a marker for ineloquence, vulgarity, ignorance, rube-meets-valley-girl demographics, low self-esteem, anxiety and insincerity.

  • clinton uttered "you know" 52 times. Greenfield eventually caught the bug and uttered six "you knows," himself--a cautionary tale for wannabe clintonoid lapdogs.

  • Frequency of clinton "you knows" varied directly with intensity of Greenfield contempt and inversely with magnitude of Greenfield softballs.

  • clinton response is consistent with (my) hypothesis of Rubin complicity in a clinton coup. See "The Daschle Scheme".

Mindless rhinestone-studded-and-tented kleptocracy

by Mia T

John Podhoretz recently asked, "Whence comes hillary clinton's reputation for brilliance?" For the answer, he intuitively, rather brilliantly in fact, looked to her anatomy and noted,"This isn't the first time she's shot herself in the foot."

The above anatomical analysis supports the Podhoretz thesis. Notwithstanding The Pod's erroneous conclusions concerning hillary clinton's heart and nerve, he basically has it right. Anatomy is destiny...

Ian Hunter recently observed that our leaders are shrinking. "From a Churchill (or, for that matter, a Margaret Thatcher) to a Tony Blair; from Eisenhower to Clinton; from Diefenbaker to Joe Clark; from Trudeau to Chretien -- we seem destined to be governed by pygmies."

The pols understand their anatomical limitations well; they attempt to mitigate them with veneer. And so we suffer mindless alpha-beta-beelzebubba grotesquerie. . .

and rhinestone-studded-and-tented kleptocracy.

With all the media genuflecting before the press-conference podium of bill clinton, it bears remarking yet again that the clinton intellect (an oxymoron even more jarring than AlGoreRhythm and meant to encompass the cognitive ability of both clintons) is remarkable only for its utter ordinariness, its lack of creative spark, its lack of analytic precision, its lack of depth.

The clintons' fundamental error: They are too arrogant and dim-witted to understand that the demagogic process in this fiberoptic age isn't about counting spun heads; it's about not discounting circumambient brains.

Politicos and reporters are not rocket scientists . . .

Professions tend to be self-selected, intellectually homogeneous subgroups of Homo sapiens. Great intellects (especially these days) do not generally gravitate towards careers in the media or politics. Mediocre, power-obsessed types with poor self-images do.

Thus, clinton mediocrity goes undetected primarily because of media mediocrity. ("Mediocrity" and "media" don't come from the same Latin root (medius) for no reason.) Insofar as the clintons are concerned, the media confuse form with substance, smoothness with coherence, data-spewing with ratiocination, pre-programmed recitation with real-time analysis, an idiosyncratic degeneracy with creativity.

Jimmy Breslin agrees. In Hillary Is the 'Me-First' Lady, Breslin laments:

"At the end of all these years and years that are being celebrated this week, the national press of America consists of people with dried minds and weak backbones and the pack of them can't utter a new phrase for the language or show the least bit of anger at a business or profession or trade or whatever this business is that is dying of mediocrity."

Listen carefully to the clintons. You will hear a shallow parody of the class president. Not only do they say nothing; they say nothing with superfluous ineloquence. Their speeches are sophomoric, shopworn, shallow, specious. Platitudinous pandering piled atop p.c. cliché

In seven years, they have, collectively, uttered not one memorable word save, "It was a vast right-wing conspiracy," "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky,"and, "It all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."

Even the clintons' attempts at alliteration fall flat. Compare Agnew's (Safire's) "nattering nabobs of negativism" with clinton's "preachers of pessimism," an impotent, one-dimensional, plagiaristic echo (its apt self-descriptiveness notwithstanding).

Before they destroy their backs along with their reputations, media gentry genuflecting at the altar of the clinton brain should consider Edith Efron's, Can the President Think?

A wasted brain is a terrible thing.

hillary clinton, Congenital Bottom Feeder, Cowers Below Network Radar, Continues to Subsist on Cozy Clintonoid Interviews of Colmes Kind
by Mia T

CEW YORK, Sunday, Feb. 3 -- Rather than courageously confronting major league media, hillary clinton continues to subsist on cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind. Again today, clinton chose to be interviewed not by George Will et al. on the network ABC show, Sunday Morning with Sam and Cokie, but by second-string clinton lackeys on third-rate local fare that followed Sunday Morning in the New York market.

Clinton failed to exceed local performance parameters with ease, clogging the airwaves with standard-issue clinton claptrap.

By continuing to eschew the politically obligatory Sunday morning circuit and formidable inquisitors like George Will, clinton only encourages the incipient whispers of ineptitude, depravity and failure that are filling the Senate cloakroom.

In addition to this display of cowardice, ineptitude, depravity and failure, one of the more significant continuous predictors of clinton's political moribundity is clinton's tic-like insertion of "you know."

A marker for ineloquence, vulgarity, ignorance, rube-meets-valley-girl demographics, low self-esteem, anxiety and insincerity, clinton "you knows" were less frequent during this interview than during the one conducted on January 17th by Jeff Greenfield. This result is consistent with the previous finding, that the frequency of clinton "you knows" varies directly with the intensity of interviewer contempt for the clintons and inversely with the magnitude of interviewer softballs.

If hillary clinton continues to secure her politically moribund position via second-string clinton lackeys on third-rate local fare, Mort Sahl put the intellectual--if not the final--nail in the clinton legacy coffin on CNN's first-waterloo last month.

Sahl, the 60s satirist and self-professed "radical independent," who cut his political-eyeteeth at the Hungry i, announced, "I have no desire to meet clinton; with no morality, there's nothing there." That the eponymous Clinton News Network televised the demise only adds to the irony.

By way of contrast, the intrepid iconoclast, who never knew a president he didn't skewer, went on to express pride in knowing "the two Bushes," the Kennedys and Nixon.

So much for the clinton legacy.

The CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme, counterproductive on its face, is now officially dead. If the clintons had any concern for the American aesthetic, they would bury it...and themselves, while they're at it.

I don't think it's so much an honest lack of "cognitive capacity" as much as a desire to focus group and bastardize the whole experience for posterity.

Hardball's Softball hillary clinton 'Interview' Elevates Access Journalism to Historic New Heights
by Mia T

CLBANY, Page Hall Auditorium, SUNY, Wednesday, Nov. 20 -- Facing Hardball's transmuted-by-access softball host, Chris Matthews, and an audience Matthews, in an apparent pre-emptive attempt at absolution disclosed as "all Ds,"[Democrats]...You packed the house," hillary clinton made it clear she will continue to subsist on cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind. Tickets to the event were limited to University at Albany students with a photo ID and/or independent proof of illegal alien DNC <--> DNA sequencing.

By eschewing the politically obligatory Sunday morning circuit and formidable inquisitors like George Will, hillary clinton only encourages the incipient whispers of ineptitude, depravity, cowardice and failure that fill cloakroom and kitchen, alike.

NO MANO A MANO THIS...

The much-hyped "college tour" showdown at Albany Downtown was promoted for weeks by Matthews and MSNBC as "a one-on-one with the senator from New York." The show -- and the "senator" -- were not as advertised, however.

Unfortunately for America, the only visible adversary at the SUNY access-journalism extravaganza was a free press. MSNBC trumpeted clinton as Zogby-polled presidential timber: "Always finishes a strong second to Gore," they puffed. (A patent presidential disqualifier if ever there was one, if you ask me.)

Notwithstanding this obvious lapse in logic, one wonders where and when Zogby collected his data, According to the most recent relevant poll, which was conducted by the Marist Institute last month -- and according to the results of this month's election, nary a soul wants hillary clinton back in the West Wing.

In her new book, Political Fictions, Joan Didion indicts the fakery of access journalism practiced by vacant politicos like the clintons, whom she sees as "purveyors of fables of their own making, or worse, fables conceived by political strategists with designs on votes, not news." The smartest woman in the world would relish "the raucous give and take of American democracy," as Charles Kuralt once put it. She would not be reduced to packing audiences and.flacking reporters.

By continuing to confuse "strident" with "presidential," clinton once again demonstrated the ease with which she fails to exceed minimal performance parameters. Lawless to the core, she managed to turn nature's abhorance of a vacuum on its head, clogging the airwaves with standard-issue clinton claptrap.

REVERSIBLE TRANSMUTATIONS...

This collegiate meeting of the minds, so to speak, managed to elevate nothing but access journalism, raising it to historic new heights. Not content with this dubious achievement, Chris Matthews decided to become hillary clinton's full-fledged advocate the following day when it became clear that the softball interview did not go quite as planned; clinton's limitless vengeance and limited intellectual dexterity unwittingly, and much to her political disadvantage, reversed the Matthews transmutations: softballs were transformed to hardballs with each clumsy move and cheap shot.

OLD SCORES TO SETTLE...

No answer exposed clinton's cognitive flat-footedness or her thirst for revenge more than her comment about President Bush's motivation to oust Saddam: " I mean it is clear that a lot of people in this administration have some old scores to settle...with Saddam Hussein."

Psychologists call this projection. It is the clintons who know about settling old scores. It is the clintons who only know about settling old scores

We're not inflicting pain on these f*ckers.
When people kill us, they should be killed in greater numbers.
I believe in killing people who try to hurt you.
And I can't believe we're being pushed around by these two-bit pricks.

Bill Clinton, quoted by George Stephanopoulos,

"All Too Human: A Political Education"

Mrs. Clinton was still flush with her triumph in New York [i.e., Today VRWC interview] when she returned on Tuesday afternoon to join Harry Thomason's vigil in the solarium.
"I guess that will teach them to f*ck with us," the first lady said.

"A Vast Conspiracy," p. 258, Jeffrey Toobin

WOODWARD WALLOPS CLINTON...

Bob Woodward says hillary clinton is wrong. (Meet the Press, 11.24.02)

Woodward should know. He is the author of the new bestseller, "Bush at War," which "draws on four hours of interviews with President Bush and quotes 15,000 words from National Security Council and other White House meetings in reconstructing the internal debate that led to U.S. military action in Afghanistan and the decision to aggressively confront" the Iraqi president.

Woodward says that Bush's motivation to confront Iraq comes not from revenge but, rather, from lessons learned [lessons learned from CLINTON FAILURES]

"I will not wait on events, while dangers gather."

[Unlike the clintons,] Bush understands that one must take care of threats early [and has the courage and competence to do so]; Bush understands that given the range of Saddam's psychological disorders, an Iraqi nuclear capacity would change the equation not only for the region but for the world.

FOURTH-ESTATE FAILURE...

Chris Matthews failed utterly. He had his shot at hillary clinton and avoided asking anything of significance. No questions on the eight years of clinton corruption, on the rapes, on her legitimacy, on HIS legitimacy, on the utter failure of the clintons to confront terrorism, a failure that resulted in 9/11, a failure that threatens our very survival.

Oh yes, he did ask the obligatory "Will you run for president in '04?" question no less than three (3) times as is apparently required for access to hillary clinton. He even threw in serveral instances of the "'08" version for good measure.

The question is a variant of the "When did you stop beating your wife?" complex-question type of fallacy.

The clinton "infrastructure" requires media myrmidons of the left to ask hillary clinton this question no less than three (3) times per "interview," operating on the theory that the implicit question ("Why in the world would the zipper-hoisted twofer wife of an impeached utter failure ex-president, be qualified to be president anyway?") will be rendered, if not moot, certainly disremembered.

A subset of the CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme , the clinton "infrastructure" complex-question fallacy scheme is intended to confer legitimacy on an otherwise loony concept: Another clinton--uh--presidency.

In my view, there has never been convincing evidence that either clinton can think analytically or creatively. Quite the contrary.

"I have no infrastructure to deal with this."
bill clinton

One of the unintended consequences of America's rejection of mandated political correctness is that legends crumble.

The classic case is that of Bill Clinton. The conventional wisdom has been (even from his critics) that notwithstanding policy and philosophy disagreements Bill Clinton was/is a smart, charming, even brilliant man.

The reality that is becoming increasingly clear to those willing to see is that "The President Clinton Package" and his team of advisers, managers, and spin doctors, were smart, charming and at times brilliant. However, left to his own devices and without the support, advice, counsel and coercive powers of office, Bill is (for the second time in two months) emphatically demonstrating he ain't all that smart.

Bill's big yap:

Miss Hillary. . . strikes me as one of those innumerable people whose prose is so dull that they are reduced to using equally prosaic cusswords.

"I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools.
Let's start with typewriters."

- Frank Lloyd Wright

Someone recently tested the monkeys-on-typewriters bit trying for the plays of Will Shakespeare, but all they got were the plays of bill clinton.

Rumor has it William Jefferson Clinton himself is to recite Honest Abe's lines in this New Year's Eve pageant. Whoever writes these scripts has a natural talent for irony. For some irrepressible reason, one cannot help but think of that costume party in "The Manchurian Candidate,'' complete with Red Queen and Abe Lincoln in stovepipe hat and fake beard.

Hillary Clinton says it's a great opportunity to unite the nation. (The way she's united New York?) But the Clintons are never so polarizing as when they are intent on uniting us. How can that be? Maybe it's their perfectly fabricated authenticity. The Nineties have had much the same effect, stirring the same vague dissatisfactions -- and sparking sudden outbursts of temper. What was it that poor, embarrassed David Brinkley, thinking his mike was off, said after the president's victory speech in '96: "We all look forward with great pleasure to four years of wonderful, inspiring speeches, full of wit, poetry, music, love and affection, plus more goddam nonsense.''

Still not finished, Mr. Brinkley added that this president "has not a creative bone in his body. Therefore, he's a bore, and will always be a bore.'' Oh, dear. The commentator's unintentionally public thoughts were all the more embarrassing for being so widely shared by any Americans still sentient four years into the Age of Clinton. But it's one thing to notice such things, quite another to say them out loud. Why belabor the obvious?

Chris Matthews is a liberal, there is no doubt about that, but he is one of the few with integrity (plus he likes having credibilty since it helps make him more money). Hillary is well known to want questions in advance of any and all interviews. I will, as much as I hate her, cut her slack on the Letterman interview. The reason for that, is that every talk show, from Letterman, to Leno, and before that, Johnny Carson, always gave the guests questions in advance. If you look carefully at the desk, you will sometimes even see some paper there, which is a list of questions, there is also sometimes a teleprompter. However, I do know that in the Clinton/Lazio debate, she made a big deal about having the questions before hand. Her people are so out of touch, it has never occured to them, that not every single thing is a photo opt where you get the questions in advance. They are amazed when shows refuse to give questions, and Hillary has made it clear she "distains" live interviews. Part of the reason is her fear of a "shoot" (a moment where script is broken, and improv may occur, such as asking non scripted questions, or grilling, or making statements), she wants to have the power to walk off an interview without it being aired.

More evidence of their brilliance...
Designs on designs...
Although a reliable source had previously warned me about the wife's designs on the people's designs -- she had apparently acquired the nasty habit of pilfering from the White House drapery fund -- when I created the following metaphoric musing a year before the clintons "moved," I never imagined that she would -- that they would -- in real life -- in real time -- actually swipe the sofa.

Chair Lift

Among the gifts that former president Bill Clinton says he is keeping as
personal presents he accepted last year are $28,000 worth of furnishings
that documents and interviews indicate were given to the National Park
Service in 1993 as part of the permanent White House collection...

Two of the furniture makers whose donations Clinton took with him on
leaving the White House last month say they gave them to the White House
as part of a widely publicized, $396,000 redecoration of the executive
mansion and not to Clinton personally.

"When we've been asked to donate, it was always hyphenated with the
words, " 'White House,' " New York manufacturer Steve Mittman said of
his family-owned business, which gave two sofas, an easy chair and an
ottoman, worth $19,900 and listed by Clinton as part of the gifts he
took with him. "To us, it was not a donation to a particular person."

Gifts Were Not Meant for Clintons, Some Donors Say

Sen. Clinton made another assertion - one that is equally misleading.

She contends she was not obliged to report the first Leiber bag she received "because it was received before the Clintons entered the White House."

But this bag, valued at $3,500, was received after the election and during the transition and therefore obviously was related to the Clinton presidency.

But he said the Socks purse was given to Clinton during the transition in late 1992, before her husband took office...

Don't get too smug about Chris M.  This was posted earlier:

On Fox and Friends this morning they reported that Hillary's last appearance on "Hardball" was a sham. Her lackeys had demanded all questions in writing ahead of time before the interview. At first, the show refused to do this but caved in the day of the show and gave her the questions ahead of time. To repeat: Hillary got the interview questions ahead of time!!!!

BTW, MIA, I don't generally open your posts because they are way too long, too graphics intensive (takes the modem 2-3 mins or more to load), and all the same.

And were it not for voter fraud, nepotism and the clinton rapes, the zipper-hoisted harpy's ample bottom would not be hanging over a seat in the senate. BTW, here's another piece of fictitious clinton PR:

In one sense, whether or not she actually got the questions in advance is moot.

The Matthews questions served as the straight line for the clinton banalities; the Matthews question could have been answered extemporaneously--and better--by any fifth-grader.

The ability to solve problems is a useful operant definition of intelligence. The clintons' utter failure to protect this country, a president's PRIMARY problem and duty after all, confirms their intellectual mediocrity like perhaps nothing else.
