There are certain HTML codes that JohnRob (John Robinson, the technical guru of FR) has disabled in the current version of the forum (Focus) because they have proven quite troublesome. These may show up when replying to an old post (like the original HTML Bootcamp, but won't here. This is by no means a comprehensive list:

<marquee>
This text should be scrolling right-to-left in Internet Explorer browsers, but is not.

<span>
This text should have a yellow background, but doesn't.

<blink>
This text should be blinking, but isn't.

Also, while not closing tags may foul up one's individual post, it no longer kills the thread as a whole (at least in terms of HTML).

Maybe there should also be instructions on how to do a proper "SEARCH". There are so many duplications for postings. I know that some of them have a different titles but if you read the little synopsis of the article in the Search you can see it's the exact same thing as one previously posted.
