My ears might have deceived me. Did I hear correctly on the Sean Hannity Show? Did Hackworth call Cheney a draft dodger?

It was near the end of the second hour when he said it. Hannity red flagged the remark.

Sometimes people say crazy things just because they are.

Sounds like he's just calling 'em as he sees 'em. Lots of folks who are calling for sending troops into battle have no experience of battle. Cheney's just one of them.

"Well, as someone who served, I consider Cheney a dodger."
Let me guess, punk - you were a PIO in the Mother Goose Navy. Back to Salon or DU with you.
To: MineralMan
Did Cheney serve? You were asked to elaborate and you reply with the above inane "question".
Not serving does not equal draft dodging.
Now I'll ask you again. Please back up your assertion.
To: MineralMan
Kinda like our former CIC was. A chickenhawk.
To: Bedford Forrest
Guess however you wish. I volunteered for service in 1965. Cheney did not. You call it.
To: KevinDavis
Yup. Clinton was a dodger too. So it goes.
To: MineralMan
Helloooooooooo.
Not serving does equal draft dodging.
You are NOT backing up your lie.
To: KevinDavis
Like Ann Coulter says, I'd rather be a chicken hawk than a chicken. Maybe Hackworth is being too much of a mother hen while not considering the safety of the cities.
To: MineralMan
I still haven't seen any proof that Cheney was a draft dodger. Hell I didn't serve, but only because I wasn't 18 until 1980. There are many reasons why people don't serve. They are not all draft dodgers.

but .. what the hell is his problem His problem is, he's a liar.
Soon after the Boorda suicide, it was found out he was lying about the medals he had earned by posting a DFC and others on his website. As far as I'm concerned, he did exactly what he had been dogging Boorda about.

Sounds like he's just calling 'em as he sees 'em. And I'm just calling 'em as I sees 'em .. the guy lately is making no sense
Last night he went on about how the Top Generals at the Pentgon were against this war .. then went on to name .. Powel, Zinni, and Clark .. all of whom no longer work at the Penegon
Look .. I never was in the military .. but I know war is not pretty .. and sitting own our hands doing nothing is even more dangerous
Like I said .. I admire Hack for his brave service .. BUT

Maybe he has a book coming out and deep down, he has a fear of success. He was on Oprah just today, promoting a book.

That is your opinion. My opinion is that those who were patriots did serve. My father served in WWII. My grandfather served in WWI, and I served in my own time. That's what one does when the nation is at war. I have my opinion of those who do not, yet who claim the right to send young men to battle.
To: MineralMan
The difference is I don't recall Cheney ever saying he loathed the military or showing contempt for it as Clinton did for 8 long miserable years.

A lot of folks are too busy sucking up to Saddam in Baghdad to contemplate battle.
To: Arthur Wildfire! March
yes, it takes great courage to send someone else's kids to war. Will there be any children of anyone in the Bush administration sent to Iraq?? I doubt it.

When did I support Clinton? I did not. I'm just saying that those who served can call on that experience. Those who did not cannot. Cheney had better things to do, I suppose, than I did.
