There is realpolitik nation building to get rid of insane terroristic ideologies and then there is Wilsonian "lets make every country a socialist Democracy" nation building. There is a diffrence.

Socialist democracy? Heck....I was referring to the unrealism of striving for far more modest goals of stability and free market democracy. Nation building in a hell hole like the Middle East (as we are already discovering in Aghanistan, better described as Kabulistan), is a utopian pipedream regardless of any new feel good labels such as "realpolitik."
