Blacks have been supportive of Democrat Party politics since the 1960´s. They have given this unequivocal support out of a sense of obligation, gratitude, and favorable social programs which began with presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. However, over the past 30 years the Democrat Party has become increasingly dominated by various groups with leftist/socialist agendas. The party no longer represents traditional liberal ideas, which I supported in the 1960´s.
The new liberals have gradually converted this beloved party into a reservoir for political insurgents whose agenda is outside mainstream American values. Blacks –and whites as well – are unaware that the new liberal/socialist movement is currently undermining our country´s established institutions in which for generations we have placed our confidence.
It is unfortunate that many blacks do not recognize that this shift in their party´s values is not in their best interest. It is without question that without receiving 80-90% of the black vote the Democrat Party would be virtually powerless. As quiet as it´s kept, the black voter is used to advance socialist ideas with which many of them overwhelmingly disagree. I invite any voter to explain what blacks have to gain by supporting and attaching themselves to:
- Environmentalist who care more about spotted owls, global warming, and rare butterflies than people needing jobs and affordable housing.
- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who assert that animals and people have equal rights.
- Those who agitate for the right of men to marry men and women to marry women.
- Those who encourage amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants who over burden our schools and public services – and those who believe aliens visiting this country have the same rights as Americans who live here.
- The rigorous efforts to remove "G-d" from the public square when most of us readily acknowledge that without faith in G-d we would have perished long ago.
- Anti-American activities and propaganda on college campuses, much of which is co-sponsored by communists. And how does such activity help create economic growth and stable families in the black community?
- The ACLU´s endeavors to defend pedophilia by the North American Man/Boy Love Associations (NAMBLA) while attacking the Boy Scouts of America for their stand barring homosexuals from membership. Add to this list those who want the word "G-d" removed from songs, pledges, mottoes, and creeds.
Some of the JFK and mainstream Democrats are uncomfortable having radical socialists in the party who abhor our Judeo-Christian values and system of government, but because winning elections is their ultimate goal they are willing to compromise their ethics.
These new liberal/socialist sincerely believe that our constitution, bill of rights and religious convictions are archaic and need reconstructing. However, the forms of government favored by them have been proven inferior and have caused the death and suffering of millions of their people. These governments control productivity and limit the liberties of its citizens. Dissent is permissible in this country but to help destroy institutions that were established for the common good is irresponsible.
The new Democrat´s answer to problem solving in the United States always involves the appropriation of more money by government. Matters are usually made worse by this approach. A good example is the trillions of dollars spent on welfare programs, which did not achieve their goals but caused a co-dependency between government and client that has hindered more than helped the underclass. It has helped to destroy families, encourage out-of-wedlock births, increased crime, and promoted a compliant acceptance of life-long poverty and hopelessness.
The Dept of Education reports that education spending has increased 132% since 1996 yet 69% of those not reading well are minority children. Moreover, 60% of black parents favor "School Choice" – but black and white Democrats alike oppose the wishes of these parents. Why? Because of financial support from unions who are opposed to choice. Ironically, many schoolteachers and politicians use this option themselves. Blacks should take notice that most socialists/progressives work in the urban cities but live and play in the suburbs, and send their children to private and parochial schools. Sure, they claim to care passionately about urban decay and ethnic integration but isolate themselves in protected enclaves including our college and university campuses. Very few choose to occupy residential properties in our core cities. They profess to know what is good for others, especially the masses, through which they seek influence and authority while denying membership in the haughty elite to which they are so firmly attached. Examples of this new socialist maneuvering which undermines, institutions that make up the bedrock of our society is seen in the:
- Diminution of excellence in pursuit of racial and gender quotas.
- The contempt expressed for our military, police departments, successful businesses, national security intelligence, and foreign policy.
- The rampant plague of absurd civil and criminal litigation encouraged by trial lawyers, which makes a mockery of our legal system.
- The deliberate distortion of core religious beliefs in well established church doctrines.
- Enslaving cradle to grave entitlement programs while de-emphasizing self-help.
- A proliferation of pornography, and the vulgarity in film and music under the pretext of free speech.
Added to this mix of poisonous kool-aide is "political correctness" which is another egregious attempt to structure individual thought and free expression.
Instigating class warfare is the chosen method of creating confusion and division among fellow Americans. As a rule they do not view people as INDIVIDUALS but rather as GROUPS. That is, blacks, whites, rich, poor, minorities, the less fortunate, gays, women, white males, elderly, etc. GROUP rights are promoted over INDIVIDUAL rights. They also rely heavily on race baiting and class envy to further polarize Americans. Gathering votes at any cost is paramount. Their political adversaries are not as adept in applying this strategy because they are more resolute, less alterable in their political philosophy with an almost innate belief that their values and approach to governing still works best. They are less likely to be dazzled by changes that have, over time, toppled other societies.
Blacks are slowly realizing that they have depended on government much too long and they will no longer be taken for granted at the ballot box. The key realities for blacks are that each person is ultimately responsible for his/her own life and success – and that this is not a GROUP effort. Education, stable families and prosperity are INDIVIDUAL achievements and not provided by a group or a government. They also realize that the basic ethics of hard work, honesty, individual achievement, and general prosperity is being threatened by encroaching socialist policies that increases government control over people´s lives and kills the aspirations of all Americans to explore opportunities this country has to offer.
President John Kennedy inspired the nation when he uttered,
"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country."His plea was to individual Americans! Blacks must stop repeating worn out irrelevant cliches that are substitutes for critical thinking. They must examine the platform and philosophy for which this new Democrat party stands and after this thorough examination either redirect it – or leave it.
The politicos in Washington care more for their lust for power than they do the freedom of people who paid for it with their blood
Now I'm not saying that any other party cares any more about the black than the dims/RATs BUT the principles and policies espoused by conservatives will advance their status (and everyone else's) to a much higher level. In other words, a rising conservative tide raises all peoples.
Lib Dems need to keep the inner cities miserable in order to promote their agenda. Anyone who rises above such conditions is immediately branded a "sell-out" or "Tom."

Democrats like personal freedoms in social areas, but are perfectly willing to tell you how you are going to spend your money. The right, conversely, likes personal freedoms in the financial arena, but will waste no time telling you how you should live.
And PS, both sides are contributing to the eradication of the Constitution, but the Dem assault on the RKBA, freedom of religion, and the Bill of Rights in general is way more advanced than the right's recent attack on the fourth amendment.
And listen to Gore and Daschle bleating about a conservative media...they're after freedom of speech next.
