Another busy day for President Bush today as he signed a few new bills and hosted the lighting of the White House Menorah. The President signed the 'Anton's Law' which requires shoulder belts in addition to lap straps in the middle rear seats of vehicles. Bush also signed the Dot Kids Implementation and Efficiency Act, which creates a new kids-safe 'dot-kids' domain on the Internet that would contain only material appropriate for children under 13. After signing the bill, he took questions from the media, and once again stated that he is not optimistic regarding the inspections in Iraq. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura hosted Afghani teachers as they learn to become master teachers, who will eventually be responsible for training teachers back in their home country. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Mine, too! Isn't he wonderful?
To: Otta B Sleepin
Wonderful is only the beginning.
To: azGOPgal
Yes, indeed, anytime. It's the real deal hot chocolate, too, no mixes involved.

Well, a nice greeting from the President, complete with both Christian references and greetings to the troops far from home, and in a white cowboy hat (had to re-emphasize that)!
Gosh, I love that guy!
To: Miss Marple
Wasn't that great? I thnk Dubya got a little nervous during the sing-a-long.
To: Miss Marple
He always seems to know what to say, doesn't he?
He sure looked like he was having a good time!
To: rintense
I sure wouldn't have wanted to sing next to those talented tenors!

No need to worry... photos from the event will be posted on the Dose later this evening!

He looked like a little kid at Christmas time. He had the biggest grin on his face. :oD

All right! I can hardly wait. Lots of new additions to join my collection!
Thanks again, rintense, and Miss Marple and Mo who directed me to C-Span. The kids and I sure enjoyed the pageant (and the President!)
See y'all later on the Dose!

In college, I used to run from the room when country music came on the radio, odd for a native Tennessean. LOL. A few years out of college I started listening to it and I just love it.

He has the most natural and sincere touch of anyone I've ever seen in public life.

DANG!! I tuned in late, just in time to hear the C-in-C give his speach! Is it my imagination or did a whole lot of FOLK braved the weather and showed up for the Pageant of Peace?! I'm glad C-Spin is going to replay it!
To: RoseofTexas
There was a huge crowd there. It was wonderful and President Bush looked very western in that hat!!!

We're pushing records for dry over here.
To: GretchenEE
It's bad over here too. No snow in the mountains and only fog in the valley. It tried to rain today but only managed a few drops. However, I did read that it is actually snowing at the ski resorts. None are open yet and won't be this weekend either.
Just figures...we bought season passes this year too!
I could not believe how low the reservoir outside of Seattle was. I've never seen it like that. Looked like a puddle.

I just got done shoveling snow .. and it's STILL snowing
YOU are doing the shoveling?? I thought you had kids !!! I have mine out there working away LOL. That snow just kept coming and coming. It is pretty I have to admit, but I get to be such a nervous Nellie when the kids are driving in it.
Thanks for the heads up on the repeat of CSpan 2 showing the lighting of the Christmas Tree. I missed it the first time around.
