that job in the Chain Factory does not look too pleasant. Better to make the chains then be the one who's wearing them.

I agree with all.. EXCEPT I think we should give Canada a pass this time around.
Do you know what Italians call Canada?

"After Saddam, who's next?"Hmmmm. Well there's the "Axis" of evil. N. Korea is being dealt with through statecraft and not bomber aircraft. Iran? Then there's Libya. Hmmm. Methinks after Saddam, there will be a whole lotta cooperating going on out there....

The video just shows the Iraqi Spoon-rest Radar on a truck. Being moved into a civilian area, so that when we do hit it, they can whine about the civilian casualties we are causing, with the aim being that we won't hit it to avoid the bad PR. (Fat Chance, this isn't Billy Jeff they are dealing with anymore, it's Condi Rice :) )

I sincerely appreciate your efforts--but...why not enter each of these separately or at least separate them when the subject matter is different. It takes so long to load that I often decide to miss something I wanted to see and just hit the back button. The majority of the country is still out here on 28.8.

I don't know ANYONE on 28.8 anymore... Everyone I know is on high speed connections! I love Dios updates! it's now my favorite place for news and pictures!
To: bobi
Yep, I know what they look like - I've crawled all over one of those units. All I said was that it wasn't a strike video - that's what I was expecting. Had the vehicle not gone to ground like it did...well, here's a quote from the briefing: Because the potential for collateral damage is so high when they park near buildings like this, we elect not to go after them. But it's a good example, I think, how the Iraqi regime places civilians at risk in a very conscious -- in a conscious way. As somebody already said, we passed on hitting this target just to avoid putting the Iraqi civilians in harm's way. And we would be happy to answer your questions.

Gosh! We paid for all those new Nissan's and I still drive an old '78 Malibu!
I'd like to punch Kofi right in the mouth!
To: PureSolace
"I don't know anyone on 28.8 anymore!" Sounds like the NY liberal woman who said after the Reagan election landslide, "How was he elected? I don't know anyone who voted for him."
Lot of dial-up modem people out here, PureSolace, and many of the telephone companies like Verizon in my area don't even offer more than 28.8 connections.
Guess it depends on your experience and point of view.

gulp.... This are composed on 28.8, folks. That was the cause
of my error on the 'Strike Video/Recon Video'.
I wanted FReepers to have it BEFORE there was full
opportunity to review it. Haste made waste.
Sigh...

I hope you don't mind, but I just made that my desktop background. It looks great on a 19 inch monitor.

CIA agent Robert Baer (
See No Evil) was shown in Dushanbe, Tajikistan by a Russian captain a fountain pen which fires a subsonic 7.62 of soft lead ("It is how we deal with Vahabis [Wahabis]."
Let's get the Mother of All SOBs' autograph with this pen.
The Rain of Pain Falls Mainly on Saddam Insane.
And do turn the palaces into parking lots.
Thank you for the comic photos of Lost Planet of the Bozos.

Peacock gardens while the people starve, real nice. I watched some idiot on FOX tonight (Greta's show) who went on and on about how the Americans are responsible for Iraquis starving. HA!
