"
It had been reported that the J-10 would be shown in public for the first time during the fourth China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition held in Zhuhai in southern Guangdong province from November 4-10, but the plane did not appear."
Because it is a piece of crap and displaying that will give it away for all to see [and chuckle]!

Building (assembling) lawn darts is one thing - being able to fly the things is another. They still won't go through propellers.

I have little sympathy for israel. Many of the munitions the palis use are chinese made. Its' hard to think a nation wants peace when they do this business with those who arm their enemies.

I'm a little tired of people calling Israel an ally. We share some common interests and enemies, but Israel is a sovereign state and does not hesitate to deal with our advesaries when she has a chance to benefit in some way. Maybe the U.S. should begin to think about taking that same path in relations between the two nations.

The plane is said to have capabilities similar to the Su-27, the Russian MiG-29 and the US F-16 fighter jets, but with an estimated cost of less than $10 million, it could rival other jet makers on the international market.Yeah right. Who, pray tell, is going to buy this thing and depend on parts and support from . . . ?
I think we definitely ought to see a competition between this hodge-podge plane and an F-16 flown by one of ours.

The plane is said to have capabilities similar to the Su-27, the Russian MiG-29 and the US F-16 fighter jetsTranslation: Its obsolete before it even rolls off the assembly lines. This plane is a joke pieced together from obsolete technologies. Planes better than this thing are for sale on the open market. I hope the chi-coms don't buy them and keep making crap like this. If anyone wants to worry about the Chi-coms getting military tech that can actually threaten us, worry about the MIRV tech some country gave them for their ICBMs. THAT's a threat. We should kick that country's a...oh wait, that was us. At the same time we (through our duly elected leader) ordered US Navy and McDonnel Douglas engineers to fix problems with Russian cruise missiles, extending their range and accuracy so they could sell a better product to the chi-coms. One of the neat improvements was the ability to launch and control them from fighter jets. THAT's a threat. As part of the Russian missile deal, China will produce and sell versions of the US improved missile to the middle east. By the way, the article says the obsolete POS J-10 uses an Israeli radar system. Russian sources say the plane will use the Russian Phazotron Zhemchoung radar, which has both an air-to-air and air-to-ground targeting capability. The Israeli radar named is an older system that only does air-to-air. Israel gives them obsolete tech and equipment and the USA gives them state-of-the-art tech and equipment. Who's betraying who?

Hmmm ... that's a real threat to an F-22 .... not.
People shouldn't worry about this since the F-22 appears to be the last human-piloted vehicle the US is going to make.
What's next ? RPV fighters pulling 30-40 G turns and carrying radically advanced fire and forget missiles with energy weapons for close in kills. We'll finally have a job for all the kids growing up with computer piloting skills.

This is how it works: We give Israel billions in aid and military technology. They sell the technology to the Chinese for big bucks. To pay for the technology, the chinese sells us megatons of cheap crap. The israelis get rich, the Chinese get weapons to attack us some day and the american taxpayer gets stuck with an increasing deficit and a bagful of cheap crap. The Israeli lobby tells us this is simply wonderful. Most of you buy it.

I happened to read in the Far Eastern Economic Review, magazine about 2 years ago, that China had given an undertaking to Israel that she will underwrite the right of the State of Israel to exist, as a nation, even if it means committing her arm-forces to support Israel, as and when Israel's physical survival seems threatened
Wonder if this article that I read is reliable or not

NewsMax online reported thru Dr.Alexander Nemets that China is already starting to deploy the J-10, and that this is a 4th generation fighter. Also quoted Pentagon sources, as evaluating the J-10 as "slightly more manouverable than the USAF F-18/EF Super Hornets". Uses the Russian AF-31 Turbofan engines, but NewsMax reported that the Chinese developed WS-10 turbofan engines will soon be used. 6 prototypes had already been tested over the last several years

Chinese engineers developed the J-10 from a single F-16 provided by Pakistan I am sure this breaks every basic sales contract...if so why are we still supporting these planes and providing the Pakistanis with spares?
