Last night on the Al Rantel talk radio show on KABC here in the Los Angeles area, he had two guests on from a new organization by and for Hollywood Republicans. It was started last year, and they have just launched a new website at this link. Information on the site, which was launched today, I believe, is thin for now. But the organizers have plans to be very politically active. They also want to provide a "safe" (meaning non-job threatening) way for entertainment industry Republicans to get information and to contribute to political candidates and causes.
Al and his guests also were encouraging Hollywood Republicans to "come out of the closet," politically speaking.

I think, at minimum, all California FReepers should do what they can to support this effort. It's long past time that the stranglehold the Hollywood Left has on the entertainment industry is challenged in meaningful ways.

Thanks for this link. I work in the business and will join, but I've got the feeling it's gonna be lonelier than the Maytag repairman.

If these folks are involved in the film industry, it appears they're employed as "grips," "gaffers", and "best boys." No big names associated with the Hollywood Republican Congress. Where's Arnold?

Not if everyone stands up to be counted no matter what the lefties say. This is America. You can be a Republican and work in Hollywood too. There are more than we know probably and its about time they stood up and stopped hiding behind their careers. If they can't stand up for what they beleive in then then they are as bad as the rest of the phonies out there.
Besides...isn't this discrimination? Not giving work to someone because of their religion, lifestyle or whatever? Well, if they don't get work and are black listed becuase of their politics then I say that is discrimination and it is up to them to file complaints and make it stop now!

Please, Hollyweird "conservatives", stay in your closets.
The more exposure the wackos in Hollywood get, the more it makes them look like idiots. Let's not draw too much attention away from them.

I make no secret of my politics at work and am sort of the token Republican among my colleagues. It causes me no problems, but in certain circles here nosebleed liberalism is so common and so much an article of faith that you're just assumed to be one, and the expression of conservative opinions is regarded as an exotic eccentricity, if not abject moral turpitude.

I once saw Bo at a dog show in Santa Barbara before her husband passed away. Unlike many celebrities who depend on makeup wizardry for their looks, Bo is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous in person.

It's a new organization. Give it time and in the meantime, at least applaud the courage of those who are making an effort to change things. Don't overlook the fact that the lower-level folks have more to lose than big-time celebrities. The radio talk show host, Al Rantel, is doing everything he can to support them, including speaking at some of their meetings and giving them air time.

"Hollywood Republicans"...isn't that an oxymoron?
.45MAN and I have boycotted everything "Hollywierd" since the presidential election. I couldn't tell you what the inside of a movie theatre looks like and we no longer rent movies, either. Ever since Alex the "Bloat-head" Baldwin and BABA Streisidiot began the hateful slurs and the rest of the sheeple wimps followed suit.
I applaud the courage of the few and hope that they make a difference out there in La-La land.
BTW....it's still dansangel - neener, neener, neener!!! :-)

"Hollywood Republicans" are unfamiliar words.

It's the blacklist that Hollywood doesn't talk about.
