Just to clarify, these laws don't proclaim that homosexuals that get protected class status. It adds a category of "sexual orientation" which equally protects heterosexuals, as well.

Personally, I'm against anti-discrimination laws that seek to regulate private organizations. I believe it violates the very democratic principle of freedom of association.

And, providing no force or exploitation has been perpetrated, the government has no moral business regulating "depravity" with taxes, laws or any other means.

LOL. Let's be real. Do you think laws that protect against racial discrimination are used to protect whites from discrimination? Yeah, tell us another one.

I don't find any heterosexuals who are demanding special, delineated protections for their sexual orientation.

As for depravities, what about the depravities of using and trafficking in things such as PCP, child pornography, rape pornography, smallpox, plutonium, and of course, marijuana? What about the depravity of alcohol for a pregnant woman? What about the depravity of killing the child while it's inside her womb? What about the depravity of a husband and father attempting suicide? What about the depravity about fudging a bit in a corporation's quarterly reports? What about the depravity of driving under the influence of a controlled substance? What about the depravity of acts with others by which killer viruses are often spread, condoms or not? (Something celibate until married people don't have to worry about, since nature was made by its Creator for marriage and vice versa, the same Creator who gives us our truly "inalienable" rights, foremost, the right to life?)

But then again, our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution upon which it rests are the documets of moralistic repbulicanism, not of libertarianism.

Liberty from responsibility is vice.
