One-Woman FReep of Nicole Parra (Voter Fraud in CA State Assembly Race)

The freep took place on the north steps of the Capitol in Sacramento. Today, Nicole Parra was sworn in as the Assembly Member from the 30th Assembly District (Bakersfield area). But she got her sorry butt freeped by yours truly for VOTER FRAUD. The Grand Jury is still investigating. Here's the link to the previous thread about how the democRATS are stealing this election: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/798851/posts
And now here's the FReep report: WOW! It was great!! It took all my courage just to do it cuz it looked like I was going to be the only freeper to freep and so it was. HOWEVER, some guy with a camera showed up. He was from Channel 13 or 17 out of Bakersfield. He took film of me shouting at passers-by, etc. And earlier in the day I was interviewed by a reporter from the Bakersfield Californian newspaper.
Anyway, I positioned myself at the end of the north steps closest to the exit. I started freeping at 4:30 and finished at 6. You should have seen all these big wig politicians and their staffs. Ha! You should have seen their faces! Priceless! I yelled, "Did you know you can buy a state assembly seat for two million dollars?!" I called Nicole Parra a fraud, a liar and a cheater over and over again. I passed out my flyer to many people. Believe it or not, most people were rather receptive. I think they're all embarrassed by this creepy mess.
My sign was huge; one side reads: "Nicole Parra - *Voter Fraud? - *Bribery? - Grand Jury In Session - PARRA will be exposed" and the other side of the sign reads: Nicole Parra - You will be exposed! - If you do the crime, you will do the time - What ya gonna do when they come for you? - RESIGN NOW!" So there.
Some Republican friends came over to encourage me but I don't think I should say their names. I don't know why but I just think I shouldn't. One State Senator's staff came over and one of the biggies from the California Republican Party. Not one Republican chastized me for being there. Just the opposite.
One guy said, "You hate Mexicans, don't you?" to which I replied: "No, I just hate voter fraud." (I didn't know Nicole Parra is Mexican; she looks just like a White person from her pictures in the paper.)
I also yelled stuff like: "You don't even have to be smart to know there was voter fraud in this race!" Many people nodded their heads in agreement.
So that's my report. Even if I knew how to post photos, I couldn't, cuz there are none. But maybe there will be TV coverage tonight. And maybe there will be an article in tomorrow's Bakersfield Californian.
I want you all to know that I feel really good tonight. I didn't want Nicole Parra to think she could get away with this THEFT without someone holding her accountable. We rained on her parade today. Believe you me. I had distributed flyers to every Assembly Member and every State Senator yesterday when the capitol was open to the public - slipped the flyer under each and every door.
And . . . the pressure is still on for the investigation to continue. Even the Republicans have been put on notice to not drop the ball. Justice needs to be served.
For victory & freedom!!!

New lawmakers jump in head first

Kevin McCarthy, left, prays with his daughter, Meghan, 6, right, before he is sworn in on the Assembly floor in Sacramento Monday afternoon.
SACRAMENTO -- It was all hugs and handshakes as Kern County's new state legislators joined their colleagues in swearing-in ceremonies and introduced their first bills Monday.
Many of the congratulations were for Nicole Parra. She emerged as a heroine of sorts among Democrats because her whisker-thin victory in the 30th Assembly District wasn't assured until late last week when her Republican opponent, Dean Gardner, conceded.
But there was plenty to go around for newly elected Assembly members Kevin McCarthy, R-Bakersfield, and Bill Maze, R-Visalia, as well as Assemblymen-turned-Senators Roy Ashburn, R-Bakersfield and Dean Florez, D-Shafter.
But as the new crop of lawmakers prepared to celebrate their new jobs with family members and supporters at parties in and around the Capitol building, there was a dark cloud on the horizon.
Legislative leaders warned them that they had better be prepared for some grim work on a state budget deficit unprecedented in the state's history, $21 billion and growing.
"That's a hole so deep and so vast," said Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson, "that if we fired every single person on the state payroll -- every park ranger, every college professor and every highway patrol officer -- we would still be more than $6 billion short."
Although all three of Kern County's new Assembly members have no experience in state government, they said they're prepared to do their share.
Parra said she views the job of valley lawmakers as one of protecting the programs that are most important to the region, such as funding for the war on methamphetamine.
"That has such a huge impact on our families," she said. "And we want to make sure our water is protected and our health care programs are protected."
Most Republicans said it's time for every program to be rolled back.
Ashburn said he thinks the budget crisis may pose an opportunity to permanently shrink the size and cost of state government.
"This could be one of those turning points in our history," Ashburn said.
But for the most part, Monday was a day for celebrations and marking milestones.
Parra's parents, county Supervisor Pete Parra and his wife, Yolanda, joined her on the Assembly floor for the swearing-in ceremony.
Pete Parra said it was a great day for the granddaughter of immigrants who struggled to make better lives for their descendants. He said his parents came from Mexico and settled in El Paso, Texas, in 1914 and then moved to Kern County in 1942.
"It's too bad that her grandparents, my wife's parents and mine, were not here to share in this," he said.
McCarthy was joined by his wife, Judy, and their two children, Cannon, 8, and Meghan, 6.
He was also joined by Congressman Bill Thomas of Bakersfield, on whose staff McCarthy has worked for most of his career.
Congressman Cal Dooley, D-Hanford, Parra's former employer, also joined her.
Nicole Parra said the presence of the two congressmen was an indication of the federal-state partnerships she and McCarthy might be able to develop.
Florez had dozens of family members, friends and supporters on hand, and they all gathered later for a reception honoring Florez at the office of his high-powered campaign consultant, Richie Ross.
But most of the lawmakers and their entourages gathered for smaller events in their offices, after a get-acquainted reception for all of them hosted by Wesson.
Except for Florez and Ashburn, who took most of their former Assembly staffers with them to their new jobs, most of the local lawmakers said they had not yet finalized their staffs or settled on permanent district offices in Bakersfield and other valley cities.
Parra and McCarthy took advantage of the traditional first-day opportunity to introduce their first bills.
Parra introduced a measure to make "Megan's Law" permanent. That is the popular law that requires authorities to notify neighborhoods when a sex offender lives there. It is scheduled to expire at the end of next year.
McCarthy introduced a proposed ballot measure that would take the highly political task of redrawing legislative and congressional districts out of the hands of lawmakers and turn it over to an independent citizens' commission.
He said that would "empower citizens" by giving them more of a real choice between candidates for the Legislature and Congress. The current system, he noted, allowed lawmakers last year to draw districts that are virtually safe for incumbents or hand-picked successors, giving voters little voice in their representation for the next decade.
Maze chose not to introduce a bill. He said he wanted to fulfill a campaign promise to call for funding to widen accident-prone Highway 58 in the high desert east of Mojave, but the budget crisis forced him to change his mind.
"Maybe we can find some way to do it with existing funding," he said.

Here's the email I sent to Pollard, the reporter from Bakersfield Californian:
How dare you talk to me at length on the phone yesterday and then not print even one word about my protest! Typical democrat butt kisser. For your information, I had a very successful demonstration at the capitol and Nicole Parra's tactics have been questioned. You're nothing but a propagandist and "useful idiot" for the democrats. When will I learn not to waste my valuable time with yellow journalists!
So there! For victory & freedom!!!

It has been an honor to have met both of you! I know you have heard it many times, but never forget that your courage deepens the comitment of others, in ways you can never know or measure.
FLYERS are the tool that I see most often forgetten, when freepers gather. I wish that I had printed up about 300
for the crowd in Garden Grove for that Michelle Malkin event - mainly to get our web site to the 4 or 5 other groups that were represented there. They had nicely printed handouts, but we've got JimRob!
WE NEED FLYERS FOR EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

The media blackout on all things comservative is really appalling. Al Gore must have his head up his butt if he thinks the media slants right. Either that, or he's so far left that the media looks conservative to him. That's a really scary thought.

Yeah, I did a one-woman freep of PETA once -- protested in favor of vegetables' rights! :D "Boycott Halloween -- Cease the Mindless Slaughter of Pumpkins!"

One guy said, "You hate Mexicans, don't you?" to which I replied: "No, I just hate voter fraud." (I didn't know Nicole Parra is Mexican; she looks just like a White person from her pictures in the paper.)Why do they always have to drag race into it? It just cheapens their whole position.
