Very nicely done. IMHO the reason we lost it is that we have been under a Gramscian cultural attack for most of a century. Look at the lawyers, media and educators--they are the ones who systematically turned us into a nation of crybabies.

P.S. A kid once asked me what I thought the major difference between a grown-up and a child was. I replied: "Being grown up is to accept pain now to prevent more pain later." I am not sure this is a comprehensive definition--but I think it is at least part of it.

If you hold a controversial position you will draw controversy and its cousins: denunciation, dislike, etc. It's the price you pay. And unlike Tom Daschle, I pay it without a taxpayer-funded security team to keep me safe.

Interesting that Peggy brings up her hate mail. She's not whining about it; she's making fun of those who whine about theirs. I love it!

Frankly, I hope Tom Daschle keeps it up. It will just serve to turn against him, millions of Americans who have had the scales fall from their eyes since 9/11. I believe that is why the Repubs. did so well in the most recent elections. I hope those newly elected Repubs. will understand this and govern accordingly.
