PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - A Cambodian mother took drastic measures to stop her party-loving 13-year-old daughter from going at out night -- she nailed her foot to the floor, officials said on Wednesday.

Mao Savoeun, 36, from Kompong Thom province in central Cambodia, told police she was angry with her daughter for going to a party at a local pagoda during last week's Water Festival, the annual knees-up in the war-ravaged southeast Asian nation.

On the girl's return, and after she went to sleep, her mother drove a two-inch nail through the top of her right foot, pinning it to the floorboards.

"We educated her about human rights and she was shedding tears, but this is a crime and we are going to send her to the prosecutor who will decide whether to charge her," local district chief Srey Puthy told Reuters.

In comparison, many American 13 year old girls will be given a condom by their liberal brain washed stupid parents with instructions to have a good time, many that think 13 years old have a right to do what they want or think kids will be kids,

I'm not sugesting that nailing someones foot to the floor is the way to solve these problems, but AIDs isn't a big risk for teenagers (unless they're homo's).

there are so many other terrible, more likely things that can happen to a teenager who's allowed to run wild. Especially girls.

Thank God, my kids had manageable, albeit barely, problems.

Maybe some women just have thing about hammers, nails, and conduct that displeases them.

Way back in grade school wood shop I had a female shop teacher ... extremely rare in those days and probably the first lesbian I had ever encountered ... although I had no idea what a lesbian was at that point.

Well, one day she got fed up with my screwing around all over the shop and just generally being a pain in the butt, so she nailed me to my work bench for the duration of the class.
