Yet one more consequence of "Liberalism".
Low-rent Americans wouldn't be interested in buying food stamps from these wretches if all they were good for was paying for crap.
That way, you only have to compare any given store's 'foreigner food stamp' receipts with their rat meat sales to keep them honest.
That, or close the border until further notice to people who have names that sound like the noises you make when you're doing 'Number 2'.

now, to be completely serious, the next time you run into someone like that, observe their eyes. they have an animal-like, wide eyed blankness, just like a spolighted animal. I am not trying to be ignorant, here, or be funny. This is something you may have noticed yourself. I work with the general public, and I began to notice this in the "less wattage" folks I dealt with. See if you find this to be true. Interesting.
It's a bit hard to tell, but I believe the "Washington" referred to is the State of Washington. There's no doubt that this kind of fraud, on a national level, is orders of magnitude bigger than $30 million.
After all, the article cites ONE STORE ALONE in Ohio that had $24 million in illegal stamps.
We are talking about a multi-billion dollar national fraud!
Here in Florida, people are given around 100 dollars worth of food stamps per month (I don't recall exactly the amount)
Since I used to spend at least 300 dollars on my groceries while I was single, I don't understand how people can afford to sell them.
By the way, a few years back while I used to do minor house repairs, I was paid several times with "foo famps."

You were paid in foo stamps by American citizens? Well jezz that's about 10 times worse than a former Somali gun runner getting them. You shoulda shot that damn American!
No. What should be done is the Federal Gov't should get out of the food stamp business. Funds should be used to provide the local charities that FEED people, and three things will happen:
1. People that need to be fed, will be.
2. People will know they are receiving charity, not an "entitlement".
3. You can't barter very well with food that you have eaten.
Well, of course, I agree with you.
A little tongue-in-cheek action there...
My first job was sacking groceries in a mom and pop grocery store. One woman use to come in every week and buy several hundred dollars worth of groceries with food stamps (this was about 20 years ago, and she had $200-300 in food stamps every week). She was always driving either a brand new Cadilac or a brand new Suburban. I called the welfare office and told them what was happening. I don't know what the final outcome was, but she only came into the store one more time after I made that phone call.
I come for visit, get treated regal,
So I stay, who care I illegal?
I cross border, poor and broke,
Take bus, see employment folk.
Nice man treat me good in there,
Say I need to see welfare.
Welfare say, "You come no more,
We send cash right to your door."
Welfare checks, they make you wealthy,
Medicaid it keep you healthy!
By and by, I got plenty money,
Thanks to you, American dummy.
Write to friends in motherland,
Tell them come as fast as you can.
They come in rags and Chebby trucks,
I buy big house with welfare bucks.
They come here, we live together,
More welfare checks, it gets better!
Fourteen families they moving in,
But neighbor's patience wearing thin.
Finally, white guy moves away,
Now I buy his house, and then I say,
"Find more alien! s for house to rent."
And in the yard I put a tent.
Send for family (they just trash),
But they, too, draw the welfare cash!
Everything is mucho good,
And soon we own the neighborhood.
We have hobby--it's called breeding,
Welfare pay for baby feeding.
Kids need dentist? Wife need pills?
We get free! We got no bills!
American crazy! He pay all year,
To keep welfare running here.
We think America darn good place!
Too darn good for the white man race.
If they no like us, they can go,
Got lots of room in Mexico.
