What a wonderful article. Congratulations to you and your family. Your son will accomplish more in his new career than those who looked down on him (for his choice) will ever do in a lifetime.
He will have friends whose bonds go deep and will also last a lifetime and last but most importantly...your son will always be your heart and you will be his as well.
God Bless your son and all the others if and when they go into battle. Oh yes, the uniform is of honor and we too are proud of everyone in uniform no matter the branch of service. Your son will return an even greater young man than he is right now.
More young people should try it...they might like it.

I have witnessed 2 of my children graduate from good universities but in my heart of hearts I was never as proud as on that day in July when my son graduated from boot camp at MCRD in San Diego almost 8 years ago. I know exactly how this man feels.
