WOW!!! What a great tribute and compilation of Guild threads, Daisy!
I wish I hadn't mispelled Guild in my first post to it. ;-)
It sure was fun getting to know so many fine ladies and gentlemen, who I consider my best friends on FR still. For fun and information, there is nothing beter than a Guild thread.

Thanks for the thread. I love Hyacinth Bucket! That's one of my favorite shows. I think I'll lurk over there and find some recipes.
Hyacinths for you.

I really enjoyed today's 'history' of this forum. I lurk more than post and admire and stand in awe of the talent here. I always learn something or am inspired and encourged by the group that I find here each morning. Thank you for your work. I will be bookmarking today's Guild as it is a treasure trove for me. God Bless...

Fascinating thread today!

Good morning. What a swell thread. It's fun to remember the "early days" at the Guild when we were tracking gifts of tacky glassware, china, golf clubs and fur coats to the felonious former First Couple. Now we just try to keep track of the Harlem Globetrotter as he jets around the world in search of $150,000 speaking fees and whatever babes his hosts offer.
I'll ditto the comment on HLL's chocolate chip recipe, as well as Timeout's horseradish salad. I've made both and they're outstanding.
