Mexico to campaign to legalize workers
11/23/02
MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda, said his country would begin a "bottom-up campaign" to win U.S. public support for a proposal to legalize 3.5 million undocumented Mexican workers in the United States.
Castaneda said Mexican officials will begin rallying unions, churches, universities and Mexican communities.
"What's important is that American society sees a possible migratory agreement in a positive light," Castaneda said. "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities -- if you will -- in their communities."

Like I said before. I would rather stand beside an immigrant mother doing an honest days work than a dope smoking lily white limosine liberal whose goal in life is to rail against McDonalds and stands with PETA. Same here.

Mexicans as "evil" by their birth.I don't know about "evil" but I do know that they aren't Americans by birth.

"US shares a 2,000 mile border with Mexico"
The US shares an even longer border with The Frozen North. Where are the millions of illegal Canadian immigrants? Is there government attempting to influence our policies by starting "militant" actions?
To: FITZ
So who cares. If people die while trying to break into my house why should I care.
To: Dane
In other words, you beleive (sic) just like the Canadian socialist that Bush is a moronWhen it comes to his immigration policy, I agree.
To: fifteendogs
Jorge Bush is all in favor of this. His constituents aren't. He's a president, not a king.

Dane, please give me your answer to these questions:
Why should American citizens be forced to pay for the welfare, food stamps, schooling, medical care, housing assistance and incarceration for people who are here illegally?
Do you think it's good economic policy for American workers' wages to be driven down by illegal aliens who work for less?
Do you think it's good economic policy for illegal workers to be paid "under the table", not having to pay state or federal income taxes?
Do you think it's good economic policy for our country to be importing poverty and ignorance?
I would be interested in your answers.

Hey Dane, what position on illegal immigration would you take if a bunch of LEO's were out there killing illegals.
To: janetgreen
Good luck trying to get him to answer your questions, he wouldn't answer mine. In Dane's world, it's take in everyone and shut up about it. Our country will not survive that mentality much longer.
To: Dane
The only problem is that hard working Mexicans and other immigrants seems to be Brownie74's problem.Illegal aliens are criminals, not "immigrants".

Ypu are obviously not a member of NOW and for that I salute you.

I think Dane already ran away.
To: Tancredo Fan
This is crazy. I resent Mexico or any other country telling us to be a dumping place for their surplus people and deviants.

Like it or not there is a Mexico and wishing it away will not bring bliss.Deleting it might.
To: PuNcH
In the old days here in California, we had what was called the bracero program. Mexicans were able to come to California to work the farms and they went home after their jobs were complete. The american farmer profited and the mexican worker profited. Then along came Ceasar Chavas who wanted to organize and unionize the workers. He did and that killed the bracero program. Now no one is profiting.

Well Texassforever, I haven't heard from you for a long time. Glad to hear you're just as stupid as ever.

Like it or not there is a Mexico and wishing it away will not bring bliss. No, but closing the border and enforcing the law would be a good start.

His constituents aren't. He's a president, not a king. The problem is, he isn't listening to his constituents.
To: fifteendogs
The problem is, he isn't listening to his constituents. No, he isn't. That must make his administration 'the problem'. No disagreement here. It surely is.

Well Texassforever, I haven't heard from you for a long time. Glad to hear you're just as stupid as ever.I find it amazing that this thread has degenerated so rapidly. The original point was that some pinhead Mexican Marxist foreign minister was preparing to cause problems via Mexican consulates in the United States, which he clearly is. All of a sudden, it turns into some crapper-cleaner cheap labor problem. Unbelievable. Nobody seems to care that a hostile foreign government leader is trying to stir up trouble among the millions of illegal aliens squatting here. HELLO!!!!
