Mexico to campaign to legalize workers

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda, said his country would begin a "bottom-up campaign" to win U.S. public support for a proposal to legalize 3.5 million undocumented Mexican workers in the United States.
Castaneda said Mexican officials will begin rallying unions, churches, universities and Mexican communities.
"What's important is that American society sees a possible migratory agreement in a positive light," Castaneda said. "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities -- if you will -- in their communities."
You and me both. My husband and I own a very small business, work 7 days a week, and we don't even have health insurance....we can't afford it. And in no way do we live beyond our means. This whole thing is sickening.

Good for you. Not so here. I have advertised many times over the last 10 years, and never once had an Anglo respond. The current lawn service is owned by an Anglo, but all the workers are Hispanic.
Ditto to a drug user/pusher and an illegal alien. One may go to jail, the other gets deported. But we shouldn't be rewarding either of them. Otherwise, I want to know, what laws can I break and get away with?

Yes, it is too much for me to clean my house. Why should I have to? And I do only hire legal citizens. They happen to be of Hispanic origin.
The lazy ones are the native born Americans who are too lazy to take these jobs, and too stupid to be able to make enough money to hire anyone else to work for them.
I think you need to get a little more education if you really think that people like me who can and will hire 2-3 other people are a problem.

I wasn't talking about illegal aliens. I was talking about workers here legally. I never advocated letting anyone here illegally.
And jobs do have intrinsic worth. I'd never pay, say, $50,000/yr. to have my lawn mowed. I'd pave it over first, and so would everyone else. People pay what the job is worth to them. You get paid the worth of your work, and not by what you think you should earn.
If you've ever had a job, you should understand this.
But either way we should not be rewarding them. No lawbreaker, no matter what they've done should be rewarded.
