No, it's because America learned how to make cars as good as the Honda Accord.

I didn't realize Crichton was this politically honest. Yea, an honest Hollywood type living in the heart of LaLa land. I'm sure the NOW crowd is just loving him these days.

Thanks for the link to this article. I am so glad that you have saved some of these old articles. I have a feeling that we are going to need them in our arsenal in a few years. You know Mia-this is true. Between you and Alamo-girl, we a virtual library here on finger ready missives to direct appropriately when and if her heinous makes a move for our highest office. I have no doubt in my mind, none, that we will stop her. The wildfire grassroots campaign we will serve upon this nation will open the eyes of our nation. And that, coupled with the horrors yet to come from that nasty duos reign of terror, is going to help put those two out of political life.

Yes, a nice jaunt down memory lane. Betty Friedan is just one of many of the Nags that Clinton marginalized to the fringes of political debate.
I think Clinton works for Karl Rove. He's just been too good to us.

about eight years ago I saw a speech Crichton gave to the National Press Corp. He said that within the next decade that the broadcast news networks would cease to exist as they do now (then) because of the internet. You have to remember 8 years ago the internet was a very new thing, but he saw the writing on the wall. He said as people would be able to get their news unfiltered, the news networks would have to become something else, and he feared it would be News/entertainment, as it basically does today. He is a brilliant man. I loved the book, Disclosure, although I wasn't crazy about the movie.

He was very much pro-abortion in the 1970s and probably still is. His "A Case of Need" is real pro-abort propaganda.
That said, I've generally liked his books and he is not a knee-jerk lib. In "Sphere" one of his worst books he takes a great jab at the Carter administration. In the sequel to "Jurassic Park", he makes a snide comment on evolution.
And "Disclosure" was certainly not P.C.
