Nationally syndicated "center right" conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt
has confirmed today that
Michelle Malkin
will be a guest on the "Hugh Hewitt" radio program:
MONDAY (11/25/02)
5:20 pm (California time)
8:20 pm (East coast time)
Michelle's interview on the Hugh Hewitt show is timed to co-ordinate with her personal appearances in southern California to promote her new book, Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists, Criminals, and Other Foreign Menaces to Our Shores:You can LISTEN LIVE to Hugh's show over the Internet (or find a local station that carries his show) from his website, at:Like FR founder Jim Robinson, Hugh is apprehensive about the damage that the "immigration reform" movement can do to the "mainstream" image of the national Republican party, and has concerns that the leftist media can distort the actions of some of the more extreme elements in the movement to make the party appear to be racist, and anti-Latino.Tuesday (11//26) - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Book Signing
Borders Books - 1830 Westwood Blvd, Westwood, CA
Wednesday (11/27) - 6:30 pm - Book Signing/Speech
Garden Grove Women's Club - 9501 Chapman Ave., Garden Grove, CASuch a charge could effectively crush the Bush administration's outreach program to the huge (and growing) numbers of Hispanic voters who are in this country LEGALLY, but many my most passionate conservative FRiends have chosen to force this extremely important issue into the forefront of our political discussions.
Fortunately, Michelle Malkin may be the IDEAL person to lead this charge. Like Ann Coulter, she is a young attractive woman - which should not matter in the ideal world of well-reasoned political discourse, but really DOES matter in the superficial world of "television journalism." Good looks get her in the door, and then good THINKING delivers her powerful conservative message.
As I understand it, Michelle's brief appearance on Hugh's show this Monday is a "trail balloon" of sorts, to determine if she should be on his show again in the future - perhaps even as a regular weekly guest! - so please be on your best behavior. :o)Let us show Hugh, and Jim Robinson - and President Bush! - that there **is** room in the GOP's "big tent" for BOTH serious proponents of immigration reform AND for advocates for an expanded Hispanic outreach...

I view the factors behind our decline as a nation similarly. America is perilously close to the point of no return. Only some terrifically powerful new political movement that puts America's sovereignty and national interests first has a chance to turn this country around...peacefully. If this doesn't happen America is going to be Balkanized out of existence within 50 years.

Excellent! I'd love to see her in person! You better see her on Wednesday in Orange County, or else you may have to FLY - back east...

"...Malkin, the daughter of Filipino immigrants, was born in Philadelphia in 1970 and raised in southern New Jersey.Hey, Hugh!
She is a graduate of Oberlin College..."
Oberlin College is in Ohio! Now, you guys have TWO things on common:
1 - She apprciates the power of Christian Radio, andSee also, from http://www.prismnet.com/~wonka/football/Heisman.htm:
2 - She went to school in Ohio!
"...The Heisman trophy was originally called the Downtown Athletic Club award (DAC), and was originally presented to the top player East of the Mississippi.
The DAC commissioned Frank Eliscu to sculpt the Trophy. Eliscu used Ed Smith from New York University as the model. Smith would not know he was the person on the Trophy for 50 years. Eliscu was born in New York City, July 13,1912. He passed away on June 19, 1996 in Sarasota, Fl. at the age of 83.
Following the death of the Athletic Director for the DAC in October of 1936, The DAC renamed the Trophy after it's AD, John Heisman.
Johann Wilhelm Heismann was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1869. He changed his name to John William Heisman when he enrolled in Brown University. He played Tackle for Brown. He then transfered to Pennsylvannia where he lettered for two years.
Following graduation from Penn., Heisman became a coach rather than an Attorney. Heisman began his coaching career in 1892 at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio...more
Someone should ask her the question.
As long as pukimo molakai Malkin concurs that all Philipino visa applications should be subjected to the same scrutiny as those from Saudi Arabia, she has credibility. You got it.Someone should ask her the question.
I must have missed something in the 9/11 coverage, though...Which of the terrorists that killed three thousand Americans was from the Philippines?
To have any validity, your argument (such as it is) SHOULD be:
As long as pukimo molakai Malkin concurs that all Philipino visa applications should be subjected to the same scrutiny as those from Mexico, she has credibility. You COULD argue that, absent any terrorist connection, all visas should be evaluated in the same manner.
I agree with that, but the Philipines are a hotbed of Islamic terrorist activity (as hard as it is to believe).
The USA has troops on the ground right now helping the Philipino Government weed out the heretics.
You are correct.I posted too rapidly, assuming that you were attacking Michelle.
I should have known better.IMHO, visas from ANY country where there is known to be terrorist activity deserve greater scrutiny - including the homelands of MY ancestors, in Germany and Ireland. (LOTS of dangerous kooks from BOTH of those places: Bader Meinhof, IRA, etc.)
Please forgive my presumption of malicious intent. These kinds of (potentially emotional) threads sometimes bring out the WORST in people, including me. :(
Bump.
Unfortunately the GOP is united around the notion of reintroducing amnesty-like legislation in short order. Hugh will undoubtedly continue to argue for that GOP position, but Michelle might be able to at least expose some chinks in the GOP armor for later.
As for your statement:
Thanks again for bringing this serious issue to the forefront, as I left Hewitt behind long ago in favor of the other competing concurrent radio show addressing "borders, language, culture." Perhaps Hugh can help the GOP and Jim Robinson get back on course.
Drop the racism, secure the borders and stop the invasion.
