-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Beltway snipers: Farrakhan is not blameless

In a news conference three days after Beltway sniper suspects John Allen Muhammad and John Lee Malvo were caught, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan acknowledged that Muhammad was a member of the Nation Of Islam. From then on, the Nation of Islam tried to distance itself from Muhammad, declaring that it did not encourage the actions he allegedly took and that it was wrong and absurd to hold the Nation Of Islam at all culpable for the actions of one radical member.

But is there a connection between Muhammad's murderous rampage and Louis Farrakhan?

Farrakhan and the Nation Of Islam are not blameless. The hatred that drove the Beltway snipers to kill is the same kind of hatred Farrakhan has been publicly spewing for nearly 40 years. Don't believe me? Let's review some of Farrakhan's words from a recent speech – before the suspects were in custody.

Farrakhan recently spoke at Salem United Methodist Church in Harlem. Among his rants, he:

Called President Bush satanic and evil.

Claimed that blacks, especially the youth, are being set up by the U.S. government for slaughter.

Renewed the charge that crack cocaine was brought to the West Coast by the CIA to destroy the black community. Keep in mind, all these outrageous comments were uttered at a Christian church! I wanted to know how a pastor could ever allow such a thing in his church, so I invited the Rev. Birchfield C.P. Aymer, Ph.D., of Salem United Methodist Church onto my nationally syndicated radio show. I asked him to explain why he allowed Farrakhan to speak at his church and if he agreed with what Farrakhan was saying. As I questioned him, he got frustrated, saying he didn't want to talk about Farrakhan. I asked him if Louis Farrakhan was a man of love. He said yes. But, as is becoming the trend among cowardly black leaders, the reverend soon hung up on me.

The point is that Louis Farrakhan is validated by men like the Rev. Aymer. He permitted Farrakhan to speak to his Christian congregation, knowing that this is a man hostile toward Jews, whites and America. Amazingly, Farrakhan, who has called Judaism a "gutter religion" and reportedly said this past July in Baghdad that "the Muslim American people are praying to the almighty God to grant victory to Iraq [in the war]," can say these things and still be labeled by men like the Rev. Aymer as a man of love!

I said after the Million Man March that this event elevated Louis Farrakhan to a Hitler-like status. He was given validity by the media, which gave him power. This is a man who can now say anything – about Jews, whites, America – without a shred of evidence and get away with it.

How does he come to conclude that President Bush wants to get rid of blacks? That crack cocaine was created to destroy the black community? Farrakhan knows that these accusations are absurd. Yet he says them anyway, and they keep him in power at the cost of all Americans, particularly young black men.

Farrakhan's words give angry blacks an object for their hatred. Take the New Black Panther Party, which likens President Bush to Hitler and accuses him of knowing about the 9-11 terrorist attacks in advance, but allowing them to happen to get away from the election controversy. The New Black Panthers are nothing more than Farrakhan's wicked offspring. They carry on his desires and dreams by using the exact same methods: hateful rhetoric, wild charges, no evidence.

Let's look at John Allen Muhammad. Farrakhan stated that Muhammad should be punished if guilty. He wants to appear righteous on this issue, but we ought to know better. The preponderance of hatred that blemishes his record speaks volumes over anything he can now say.

Though Louis Farrakhan is likely not criminally culpable in this matter, we must take close account of who Louis Farrakhan really is: a man of hatred whose message is one of subtle encouragement and sympathy toward hateful acts. Farrakhan is not blameless here, and unless we want to continue to see our country held hostage by his disciples, we must now refuse to validate him, and see him for who he is – a Hitler in the making – and repudiate him accordingly.

Thanks for this post! Jesse has done a great job once again. I had not even thought of Farrakkan's hate speach! And he is full of it. I didn't realize that he claims that the US Gov. is planning to slaughter all blacks, especially the youths. I am sure that Condi Rice and Colin Powell would not like that lie!!!!!!!!!!!

"we must take close account of who Louis Farrakhan really is: a man of hatred whose message is one of subtle encouragement and sympathy toward hateful acts."

I have not followed the recent history of Louis X Farrakhan much, but I know he has a history of encouraging violence. Before Malcom X was murdered by members of the NOI,Louis X made speechs and comments attempting the incite violence against Malcom X. The history of the NOI is a violent one,no doubt.

The Sniper Investigation? Hold the Applause

By Susan R. Paisner

Sunday, November 24, 2002; Page B03

Is it just me, or does anyone else out there think Montgomery County Police Chief Charles A. Moose and his vaunted task force bungled the sniper investigation?

I realize it might seem churlish to speak ill of Chief Moose when everyone else is showering him with accolades; this is a time when people want heroes. Besides, the good news is that the sniper suspects, John Allen Muhammad and John Lee Malvo, were captured within three weeks of the first killings in Montgomery County. But the bad news is: There was enough information to capture them sooner..."

Let's face it, Mu'ammar Qadhafi didn't give the Calypso singer $1 Billion for nothing. It was money used to forster domestic terrorism and black Muslim racism/terrorism in the USA.

From the minute Moose saw the letter on Oct 19, containing the phrases "Call me God" and "Word is Bond", he could not fail to realize that he was dealing with a member of "5% Nation of Islam". But Moose DID NOT WANT to put out that it was a Black Muslim, rather than a disgruntled white guy.

Moose knew.

Item: The Chevrolet Caprice. A witness told police about seeing a dark-colored Chevy Caprice, its lights off, driving away from the scene of the D.C. killing on the night of Oct. 3. That shooting, which took place later on the day that four people were killed in Montgomery County, raises a two-part question: Why was that information buried, and why, subsequently, did the white van/white truck sightings get 100 percent of the attention?

Further, well before Muhammad and Malvo were apprehended, the owners of the Hillandale Beer and Wine store told any reporter who would listen that they were convinced the Sept. 14 wounding of their employee was the work of the sniper. It turned out they were right, but it wasn't until well after the two suspects were arrested that police announced conclusively that the shootings were indeed linked. Surely the task force heard and saw the store owners making the claim. Did its members then read the file on the Hillandale shooting? Did they re-interview the witnesses, including the young man who worked at the adjacent Safeway who told police he had seen a dark-colored Chevy Caprice speed out of the parking lot immediately after the shooting? That would make two sightings of a dark-colored car specifically identified as a Chevy Caprice, but no public mention, because the focus was on white vans.

Item: Son of Sam. In nearly every article written about the sniper and how difficult it was to find the culprit, there was a mention of serial killer David "Son of Sam" Berkowitz, who was eventually caught by police because of a routine parking ticket. Why didn't the task force immediately hear a bell go off and start looking at police traffic procedures, such as vehicle stops and license plate checks?

If they had, they would have found multiple license plate checks of the suspects' Chevy Caprice. In fact, according to newspaper accounts, police from Baltimore to Richmond checked Muhammad's license plates at least 10 times during the time the shootings were taking place. Maybe someone would have concluded: "Hey, let's stop looking for this $*#&% white van and start locating this Chevy Caprice."

I guess for the ComPost, better late than never. Here on FR we've been saying this for nearly a month.

The Beltway Snipers, as you call them, had been thoroughly infected with Islamic hate at the mosque in Takoma, WA. That mosque ought to be closed and blown up.

I also think they had Saudi backing.

Let's be scrupulously fair. PC Moose, Ph.D. did not retard the capture of the snipers for any more than a week, or two.

I have further proposed that $1500 of the reward money be given to PC Moose, Ph.D. to send him on a one-way trip back to the Pacific Northwest, where they appreciate his kind of law enforcement, and where his public speaking skills, so reminiscent of Maya Angelou, will be appreciated.

I live in morbid fear that some Southern Maine Feminazi city council will hire this guy as their police chief, or failing that as school superintendent.

I wonder what the time frame on FR was from the time someone posted the first notice of what was in that letter till someone first made the 5% NOI connection. Minutes? Hours? Certainly not less than that.

I will never believe that Moose didn't recognize those phrases when tons of Freepers could immediately identify them. MOOSE KNEW! Absolutely. The blood of everyone killed post 10/19 is on his hands. And the American-hating media has made him into its hero.

From the point the letter was published, it was probably under an hour. For me, as soon as I saw the unusual phrase "Word is Bond" (as distinct from "my word is my bond"), going a google search on the phrase "word is bond" brings you IMMEDIATELY to hip-hop jargon and "5% Nation".

Hispanicarepublicana was first with a posted article (I was second), and AP came out with an article on the connection within about 80 minutes after Hispanicarepublicana's FR post (think they lurk? I do)
