1997 FBI video showing him stuffing $20,000 into his pocket in former Gov. Edwin Edwards' law office. Fields was not charged in the case that eventually sent Edwards to prison....
How on earth does this guy get caught on video stuffing 20 grand in his pocket and get off?

I heard on a local radio station today that the reason that Fields is now supporting Landrieu is that he received phone calls from Clinton and Jesse Jackson telling him that he'd better cooperate.

Cleo, like Torricelli, had a little visit from the Arkansas Mafia, in the person of william blythe, the impeached rapist.
His change of heart is not coincidence.

Rush did a wonderful parody of how clintbilly "convinced" Fields to endorse Miss Mary.

Are there any polls on this race?
To: Dog Gone
Paid Cleo the bucks, but looks like Cravins and Tarver are going to hold out for a little more. How typical!
To: AAABEST
Surely you remember who went after Edwards in that case.

How on earth does this guy get caught on video stuffing 20 grand in his pocket and get off? Louisiana politics. Maybe it was "advertising costs" for campaigns for telling the Afro-American community all about the good deeds of "Fast Eddy" (jail bird Edwin Edwards).

Two polls have appeared on Freerepublic. One was an internal GOP poll that showed Terrell with a slight lead.
The other was a public poll that showed Terrell up by 48% to either 42% or 40% for Landrieu (I have to look it up). There were a few percent undecided.

In 1971, Edwin Washington Edwards unveiled his "Era of Excellence." The hapless Democrat Louisianians have been looking for the "excellence" every since. Pretty soon a few of them are going to figure out that they have been "had." But probably not before they get around to reelecting Mary Landrieu Snellings.

If this poll is right, I expect Mary to defer the rest of the campaign to John Breaux, who can figure out how to win it for her. Breaux has never lost a LA election, a record that Edwin Washington Edwards, his mentor now living in Fort Worth, cannot even match. People in LA "worship" John Breaux.
