"They should switch -- not for any love of Democrats, but for the majority of Americans who favor environmental protection, reproductive choice, and other moderate policies." Holy cow...Moyers' fingers are everywhere these days, aren't they?
They will always believe that even though communism / socialism has failed eveywhere it has been tried (and many of those are now re-thinking the mess and bankruptcy they now face: i.e. France & Canada), that the reason is they just didn't do it right.
Their liberal motto goes:
Take from those that have,
And give to those that don't.
Take from those that work,
And give to those that won't.
"From each according to his means
To each according to his need."
"They have been given a deluding spirit". It's the same as having a helmet on, with a visor of some false, virtual reality and headphones in the helmet playing a libral, socialist mantra. They can neither see nor hear anything else unless or until the helmet comes off.

Agreed, but when he wrote about the 'Sunshine Patriots', do you suppose he was thinking of Tom, Teddy, Jim and Pat? As soon as the tocsin sounds, these people are dust to the horizon!
