The meaning behind the Rat's recent drubbing in the elections seems to have gone over lil' Tommy's head, as does most everything else that's more than 60 inches off the ground.

Doesn't that put it somewhere in the proscribed federal category of "Hate Speech" or "incitement to violence"? Surely, an enterprising 9th Federal Circuit Court Judge could find for that view!
Alternatively, we now have the 2002 CAMPAIGN FINANCE LAW which prohibits most unregulated political advertising and speech within 60 days of an election. Could this be the first shot in taking Talk Radio off the air during the 2004 Elections by assuring Talk Radio political opinions are illegal and prosecutable, unlike those of the "respectable and recognized" media - who are protected by the Law?

Folks, this isn't just Slimy Tommy talking. It's got Clinton fingerprints all over it and is the opening salvo in a deadly serious campaign against our civil rights and freedoms! This is somehow a perfect fit with the forgotten tyrannies of the new 2002 Campaign Finance Law.

Ya know-I called tommy's office on Mon and left a long message on his comment line. I told him how shamed I was that he would be willing to dispirit the military folks working so hard and COMPASSIONATELY (feeding, medical care, agricultural help, veterinary help, constuction help-schools, bridges, etc) while risking being blown up by mines, hit by snipers etc etc.
I said that statesmen put their COUNTRY first in a time of war, and do not try to build distrust in the President (hurting their nation's hope and spirit) or slam the current war on terror as a failure-especially for political points. That how dispicable and weak such action is....I said I thought he ought to try acting like a statesman....
Perhaps my call is what set his mental-midget off. Perhaps I was too, er, VIOLENT for the mealy mouthed little tu-tu clothed whimp.
There was a column by William Raspberry back in the aftermath of Oklahoma City in which he basically apologized to talk radio hosts because he accepted Clinton's statements about "right-wing hate radio" being the cause of domestic terrorism.
If I remember correctly, Raspberry specifically said that he listened to Rush Limbaugh a few times after that and actually found him very entertaiing.
Probably. Many folks here and elsewhere have said that this would happen sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems began this process as soon as they could.
Little tommy trotting to the beasts' drumbeat? Too sad. Wonder what hillary's FBI file copy has about tommy poo on it....must be good.
I called her office too-as well as Leahy's-wonder if it was my calls that set this off....oh...I know probably not....surely not....but still....it is fun to think of rattling these snakes' lairs.
