Ahem....the President was at 68% in the last Gallup poll, I believe. Either way, we won. Yay!

No way! The Northeast RINO club all voted no???? WOW. They want committee leadership roles.

Okay, enlighten me....I thought this was a bad bill because of all the pork spending added at the last minute, that had absolutely nothing to do with security.....so, I thought this would be something not good to pass..... Typical spin from the media and the DNC. The "special interest provisions" they complain about were not pork but rather provisions to limit the trial lawyers in this country in cases of terrorism. This is a great win for manufacturers and a huge loss for the trial lawyer lobby.

It's not pork. It waives some liability if last minute vaccinations cause side effects. It's a Good Samaratin law for pharmaceutical companies. It's a good idea for the same reasons a Good Samaratin law is good.

I think the RATS are facing a different electorate than they had in the Slick Years. A sadder, wiser and more discriminating electorate that follows the dots.

Now, KKK Byrd is going to speak! UGH!

I thought this was a bad bill because of all the pork spending added at the last minute, that had absolutely nothing to do with security.....Well, there were last minute add-ons, some having to do with national security (although rather loosely) and some not necessarily so. Some of it sounds like it is just PORK but I don't know all the details. Anyway, looks like Daschle's amendment is dead in the water and now they will have to vote on the actual bill, with the add-ons.
I thought the tactics were a bit shady by the House GOP but then that is how the game is played in DC, unfortunately.

I'm glad that I am NOT the only one who dislikes looking, listening to or tolerating Byrd.

Next will be Judge Shedd!

I thought the tactics were a bit shady by the House GOP but then that is how the game is played in DC, unfortunately. I don't know about that. The House Republicans are the only ones who seem to cherish more of an independence from the president, a check-balance system of their own.
