At the rate we are going this year, who knows. Last night was the FIRST bit of snow we've had this year. VERY late! Keep watching. Maybe I will even proofread better tomorrow. LOL!

"Quality Time"

I remember Daddy holding me, Dancing around the room, As he sang aloud to the songs, That the radio would boom. We Waltzed Across Texas with Earnest Tubb, And went Crazy with Patsy Cline, Ate Jambalaya with Hank Williams, These memories for me are kind. I stood on his shoes as we twirled around, To the beat of those good ole' songs, Daddy was my hero without a doubt, But he knew that all along. We'd grab our poles and head to the creek, He'd take the .22 for a squirrel or two, If we's lucky we'd get a rabbit or three, For a pot of his famous stew. Coon dogs and hound pups, There were always quite a few, But his favorite one of all, Was the one he named Old Blue. No, we were never rich, And our houses weren't just fine, Our cars never saw the showroom floor, But our memories have a million dollar shine.
