Rush - Say it ain't so!!! [No more free streams from the EIB network.]

It looks like Rush is no longer supplying free audio streams over the internet. The old link [http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/rush8.asx] no longer works. His website now sports a list of affiliates, but as far as I can tell, all of their servers have crashed under the load.

He wants you to pay to listen to his stream now. Memo to Rush: What the hell is this, capitalism or something?

I found it at www.wlap.com. Sound quality is better than it was from Rush's site.

Finally found a station that worked, kogo but now it has gone down the tubes. This really sucks.

Yes, I had problems accessing Rush's website as well but I FINALLY gained access through another radio station. Anyone know why Rush did this? Was it to help other radio stations? Inquiring minds want to know..:)

You are right, of course- but on the other hand, the show is NOT a public utility- it's a private enterprise, and has to make a profit. I don't see a lot of our fearless corporations elbowing each other out of the way in the rush to sponsor this show, and I don't begrudge the $30.00 a year I pay to get the site (including audio archives, etc).

I'm listening on WKBK right now, it seems to be doing fine. However it took me 6-7 stations before I got one that worked.

He used to be the only show in town...he is not anymore..

I stopped listening to Rush a couple years ago. At one time I would never miss him..now I do not miss him at all

Hey, I pay for Rush 24/7. I can listen anytime I want to. The sound is great. If there aren't a bunch of people sucking bandwidth without paying I can get the live Ditto-cam fairly well.

Actually, I think his ENTIRE new website is crap. I've had easier, more user friendly entry to 8086 MSDOS computer systems.

Yes, WLS is a great station. Most of the day's lineup besides Rush is good, too. Roe and Garry following Rush is pretty funny. Sean Hannity is on there at 9PM Central time.

That's because WABC does not stream Rush. From 12-3 they repeat that morning's Curtis and Kuby.
