The former group has caused me to lose all sympathy with the latter group if the latter group would execute the former then we'd have something to talk about. The Chechens had independence then they tried to invade Russia( no im not kidding).

I don't know enough about Putin... but fighting radical Islam is an opportunity to forge a new relationship with the former USSR.

I'd come nearer trusting Putin than I would any of the Eurotrash leaders.

"You Don't Attack Me....and I won't help the U.S. "

actually, if such a deal has been cut, it seems they are already breaking their part of the deal, at least three or four times a week... tonight at the soccer stadium. etc.

putin just wants our approval for what he NEEDS to do in order to protect his sphere of strategic influence.

Unless he is talking about invading Israel, as the cities of unfortified wealth... I don't think we have an armagheddon situation.

He is also a little terrified at his limited ability to swat at the flies of crap that populate the islamic faith. Too many flies, not enough RAID...

Sounds to me like he is asking for help in wiping out the scumbuckets of islam. But crying out to the 'west' as in france, germany and iraq... is a waste of his efforts.

He could cut the deal he wants in fifteen minutes if he would just get Cheney on the horn and do a conference call or two with Blair and Bush.

bada bing.... end of Chechen problem.

Already the Russian parliament is seeking to use their oil leverage to obtain additional territory in the Aleutians that is under dispute and appears to have oil and to preempt us from doing anything about other territory up that way that our "leaders" appear to have given them for no good reason.

It should be added that if our leaders were willing to actually do something, we wouldn't need to trust the Russians for more than two to three years at the outside. But you will not likely see such leadership because of the inability of the White House and the military at this stage to talk to anyone other than those that are the obstruction and the problem. The rate of new technology introduction of any breakthrough nature in oil has been negative since the Saudis pulled the plug in 1981 and most oil companies advertise about research but in fact have long since disbanded their R&D efforts.

"As much as I agree with what he is saying....I am not about to take a former KGB Agent at his word."

As opposed to whom?

FBI Agents? US Presidents and other US Government officials that sit on the CFR and report to the UN?...lol
