Putin Denounces Plans for Radical Islamic worldwide Caliphate
Vladimir Putin declared in Brussels on Monday that radical Islamic groups are planning to systematically annihilate non-Moslems and to create a worldwide Caliphate.
He added that western civilisation was at risk of being attacked by terrorists, these attacks being more than sporadic one-off attacks. Rather, they are, in the opinion of Vladimir Putin a concerted effort and programme by an organisation which has a global structure and which has the intention to commit murderous atrocities in the name of Islam.
Vladimir Putin also declared that there was a possibility that this organisation (Al-Qaeda) already has nuclear weapons. He did not hesitate to point out that the terrorists operating in Chechnya are part of this worldwide league of extremists and indeed are in constant contact with Osama Bin Ladens Al-Qaeda. Western sources repeatedly refer to the Chechens as separatists who want to fight for their independence, whereas the reality is quite different.
The Chechen terrorists are a small part of the 850,000 Chechen population, most of whom despise the bandits for what they are: common criminals with connections to international crime, posing in the name of Islam and separatism to gain sympathy for their cause from the ignorant or from those who periodically like to attack Russia.
President Putin declared that if the West does not deal effectively with the Chechen question, acts such as those perpetrated in Moscow and Bali will become commonplace all over the world.

What if Putin made a deal with Islamic Terrorists?
Hardly likely...the Islamikazes are on his doorstep, not ours. They are geographically far more a threat to Russia than to the USA.
You Don't Attack Me....and I won't help the U.S.
Looks like if that deal was made...it has been broken. Plus, considering that Russia used to form the core of the atheist USSR, Muslims aren't too keen on Russia. Atheists are even worse to them than the other "people of the book".
The only way for us to believe that would be for him to constantly condemn Islamic terrorism.
Lately he has been...heck, he's even warning about what radical Islamofacists are trying to do, a global Islamic superstate. That is something Bush won't do. Is your trust in Bush greater than Putin? Why? At least Putin doesn't lie to the media about Islam.

Vladimir Putin declared in Brussels on Monday that radical Islamic groups are planning to systematically annihilate non-Moslems and to create a worldwide Caliphate. Can't trust him when he says this because of his KGB past? Quick, quick, heads in the sand! So we are to conclude that it is a religion of peace (because our beloved POTUS says so) and the radical Islamic groups are not planning. etc, etc? Absurd!

Hes been hanging the Chechens in pigskins lately if we gave him permission to invade Saudi I'd think he do it but we won't. The means neccasary to win the war on terror are far more brutal than I feel safe articulating on this site now that Bush has attacked anti Islam rhetoric.

I agree that Bush is wrong about telling the media Islam is a Religion of Peace.
But....I trust Bush over Putin.

It is in his best interests and that of Russia to shift our oil dependence from Islam to Russia. Because this is so he is out in front on this truth. The question remains, however, as to why our so-called leaders have done nothing to take the oil weapon away from the funding of this proposed world-wide caliphate. Indeed, had they done so when they first had the opportunity, in the late 1970's and early 1980's, there would have been no funding of the Terror, and no Terror to war against. That they still continue to show no leadership and do nothing is a disgrace. We are having to do it all privately because of the sheer incompetence and obstructionism of those in control of oil policy.

My boyfriend got into trouble again, Got into fights, got drunk on something. He made me so mad that I chased him away, And now I want someone Putin.
Someone like Putin - full of strength, Someone like Putin - who wouldn't drink, Someone like Putin - who wouldn't insult me, Someone like Putin - who wouldn't run off.
And I saw him on the news yesterday, He was saying that the world is at the crossroads, With someone like him it's easy at home or when visiting, And now I want someone like Putin. |

IF Putin is being completely truthful in his fight against terrorism then more power to him.

Yeah, I'd want a man who worked for an organization that made the Stazi look like squeamish amateurs. Who wouldn't?

The Chechen terrorists are a small part of the 850,000 Chechen population, most of whom despise the bandits for what they are: Some of the Chechens hate Russia because these Muslims wish to systematically annihilate non-Moslems and to create a worldwide Caliphate. The other 840,000 Chechens hate Russia because Russia has terrorized, conquered, and enslaved its neighbors for the past 500 years.
Hope that clears things up.

You make an interesting point.
but....You are underestimating George W. Bush.
I think the Democrats learned not to do that in this last election....and the Islamkazi's learned it last October.

Absolutely clear... wherever a Muslim resides you will find a repressed victim... just ask Bin Laden. Funny how trouble follows Islam, isn't it?
