In his first interviews since conceding the presidency to George W. Bush almost two years ago, former vice president Al Gore calls the outcome of the 2000 election "a crushing disappointment" and criticizes the 5-4 Supreme Court decision that put Bush in the White House as "completely inconsistent" with the court's conservative philosophy.
"I believe that if everyone in Florida who tried to vote had had his or her vote counted properly, that I would have won," Gore said in an interview with Washington Post Magazine staff writer Liza Mundy for an article to be published Sunday. "I strongly disagreed with the Supreme Court decision and the way in which they interpreted and applied the law. But I respect the rule of law, so it is what it is."
Gore told ABC's Barbara Walters, in an interview to air tonight on ABC's "20/20," that he "absolutely" believed he would become president when the Florida Supreme Court ordered a recount of all disputed ballots in the state, making the result all the more emotionally difficult to accept. His wife, Tipper, said in the Post interview, "I still believe we won."

OMG....whatever you do,
DO NOT read that Wash Post article. I swear, you will stroke out. OMG, he lives in a parallel universe!
On Wednesday night, he told a New York audience he has "reluctantly come to the conclusion" that the only solution to the "impending crisis" in health care is a "single-payer national health insurance plan" for all Americans.
ROFLMAO.

Gore told ABC's Barbara Walters, in an interview to air tonight on ABC's "20/20," that he "absolutely" believed he would become president when the Florida Supreme Court ordered a recount of all disputed spoiled ballots in the state, With the exception of those overseas (military) ballots, of course.
Quite possibly the most pathetic man in America today.

Dear Al,
All your political allies in the press kept counting and counting and counting those "disputed" ballots -- about a zillion times. They counted just the way you wanted. They counted just the counties you wanted.
And they came to one conclusion:
YOU LOST!
But, don't get over it, Al. The whining loser is such an appropriate persona for the Democrat Party front runner.
And note to BaBa WaWa: See Helen Thomas? That's who you're becoming, but without the brains.
Demo Presidential contenders:
Al Gore, the Norwood Dingleberry
Joe Biden, the Great Regurgitator
Joe ("Before" in the ExLax commercial) Lieberman
Gary "Monkey Business" Hart
Al (I'm a "Dapper Dan" Man) Sharpton
Mrs. X42
Man, this could get fun.

O.K. guys, here's my dream. A year from now W. is lookin' great like we all hope and expect he will be. Smart 'Rats figure there's no way to beat him and don't even run. The big 'Rat donors figure why waste their money and don't donate. AlBorg2004, the most clueless man (?) of our time runs as "The Real Al Gore." Sorelosermania, socialized medicine, ecohysteria, black preacher voice, the works. He gets the nomination and then stalls out completely. Mondale redux. The 'Rats are so demoralized and embarassed they stay home in droves. Republicans post big gains up and down the ballots nationwide. We get loads of new young conservative blood into state legislatures and the U.S. Congress. Starting in January 2005 we finally do something amout immigration!!!
That is my dream.
Please, Al, help make it so!

I just want to know when someone will be merciful enough to come get him and put him in one of those special white coats. The man (?) is seriously delusional.

If only we could stay off those damn crevo threads, we'd surely find a lot to agree on ;) I suspect we agree on 90% of things outside of a specific part of the biological sciences. ;^)

I beleive it was 7 to 2 to stop the current count on equal protection under the law--and 5 of the majority 7 ruled that no additional recount could be constitutional. Moreover I beleive it was 3 of the majority of 7 that held the opinion that the Florida Supreme Court had violated Article IV section 2 of the US constitution.
Bottom line: it was 7 to 2 against the recount. The closer sounding 5 to 4 is just more Rat sponsered B.S., and I would appreciate it if people could get he story straight. Moreover, there was no way Gore could win if the recount continued, because the Florida legislator was ready to send their own delegates--and Article IV section 2 would have definatly kept any court out of that one.
If by some miricle the Florida Legislator did not stop Gore's ambition, the US senate would probably have dead locked on party lines and sent it to Gov Jeb Bush to make the call.
In light of this, it seems even someone as dellusional as Al Gore must understand that he is lying when he says he could have won.

Dear Dan,
It was a 7-2 decision, not a 5-4 decision, which you know...but being a leftist sycophant in disguise as a journalist, you will continue the myth in order to get access for future stories. The word prostitute comes to mind.
