Charges reduced in dog-sodomy case

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) The charges against a man who allegedly tried to sodomize his landlady's dog this week have been reduced and will now be heard in municipal court.

Joseph Cocho had been charged Monday with torturing an animal and weapons offenses after a dagger was found at his South Brunswick home. However, the charges were changed Tuesday after the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office reviewed the case.

Cocho, who was being held at the county jail on $25,000 bail, was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Before I start this post, I do not condone the abuse of animals, and men who choose to sodomise pets are seriously sick mutha's.

But let me proceed....

BUT PLEASE tell me how men who 'allegedly' rape WOMEN can walk out of courts in good Holy Catholic Ireland on bail of less than $500? Something worries me about this. (Of course sodomising an animal is sick in the extreme. But for a court to see the sodomy of a dog more notable than the rape of a woman (in a part of the civilised western world) is worrying).
