You can tell how numbed I have become since the Clinton impeachment days, I heard it and processed it but wasn't shocked or outraged. I was confused. During the clip I kept thinking that it had nothing to do with what Shep had just used as the teaser. It was not until he came back and apologized for the statement after the clip that I realized the significance of his slip up.

I roared with laughter. Not at Shep but at myself. Duhhh---
I remember thinking, I hope this doesn't become a big deal. The look on Shep's face said it all.


One time, I meant to tell this older gentleman either that he was really on his toes - or he was really on the ball when he caught a math error that I had made. It came out "Thanks, you are really on your balls today."

Can happen to the best of us.
