"Ah yes...a little more psychological warfare music playing in the background while Saddam reads over that agreement."

Here's some more:

STRATFOR: Russia Seeks Regime Change To Prevent Iraq War

"Informed Russian sources told Stratfor on Nov. 7 that Russian intelligence services are working in tandem with pro-Russian Iraqi generals to oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, hoping to stave off a U.S. war. Moscow seeks to stage a coup before the end of November, in time to prevent a U.S. attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly does not aim to hijack a U.S. victory over Iraq, but rather fears that a war would have serious economic consequences for his country and hurt its international standing. Sources say Putin likely has discussed the matter with U.S. President George W. Bush.

However, two problems would arise with a preemptive coup attempt.

First, the only Iraqi leaders powerful enough to oust Hussein are his own relatives -- though not his sons -- as these are the only generals trusted to come near the Iraqi president. Bush likely would not agree to a new regime that keeps any Hussein family members in power; if the United States proceeds with its war effort Russia's attempts to hatch a coup will have been for naught."

Drudge is pulling out the siren again, only to take it off hours later. (Unless and I hope he doesn't and highly doubt he posts a siren with the exact month/ date)

This is not breaking siren news. All of the stupid talking heads on the TV spoke of this exactly as Drudge did, as soon as the U.N. passed their votes days ago and GAVE us permission.

Yes - This adds yet a little more fuel to the paranoia fire for Saddam. I have wondered all along if the main plan may actually be a coupe that we have been quietly working on for the last year.

The Iraqis will not make a move without them believing we are there to back them up. And now we are. Even if we must mount an invasion, I think many will be amazed at the level of Iraqi support that is quickly brought into play.

There was also an article encouraging his scientists to defect. He is rapidly running out of anyone he can trust. He could keep them all in line as long as they believed they had no alternative, but now - if we can make these people believe we are really going to take Saddam out this time, the collapse could start at any time.

The Army is loading tugboats, forklifts and other cargo-handling equipment onto the Tern, a giant cargo ship in Hampton Roads, Va., that is bound for the gulf to prepare ports for the arrival of tanks and other armored equipment.

Below is a 1998 photo of the Tern carrying a submarine from Porvoo, Finland to Beilun-Ningho, China for Cosco, Beijing, China. The Tern is owned and operated by Dockwise Shipping B.V.of The Netherlands.

So much for the Drudge siren treatment. Now the top story on Drudge is that Eminem is a colossal superstar and American icon.

Let me see.

1. Start with softening phase.

2. Go to invasion phase.

That reveals exactly nothing and sounds like every military campaign of attack since the advent of artillery.

The NYTimes, as ususal, has its head up its @ss.

You got it. This is the fake real fake plan to fake Inssein out, and next week we get the real real fake plan to really fake him. Then comes the real fake real plan to make him start thinking he knows the real real plan, which of course ends w/him faking himself out.

Then comes the real plan. All clear, right? (g!)

Never misunderestimate the strategery of W!

"Let's see if the National Enquirer runs that same story"

They seem to have the inside scoop when it comes to the President.

"Loose lips sink ships, and leftist newspapers lose wars."

That's the idea. Nothing more the NYT would like than to destroy America as we know it. My question is at what point does giving aid and comfort to the enemy kick in? Methinks we better start taking seriously the issue of treason, and deal with it accordingly.

If one country actually publicly discloses war plans against another, doesn't this kind of give Iraq a kind of moral 'free pass' to strike at America any way they can?

Probably, but completely irrelvant. The U.S. and Britain have been bombing Iraqi military installations every few weeks for years. These are acts of war. Nothing Saddam, a man who has ordered the murder of hundreds of thousands of his own civilian population, does is remotely moral. However, he is at war and so, in a sense, can't be blamed for doing whatever he can to get back at us. If we let Iraq's Baathist regime hide behind Hans Blix's timidity, we will be taking a terrible risk. We having been waging a halfway war in Iraq for years, and will be lucky to get out of this irresponsibility without massive casualities.
