On the CBS radio news at the top of the hour, they cut to a report from Mike Pulsipher, of the CBS affiliate radio station KCBS 740 in San Francisco, to describe Nancy Pelosi's imminent selection to the House Minority Leader. Mike matter of factly labeled her the "ultra-liberal Nancy Pelosi".
It's rare that such labels are used on liberals. 'Twas good to hear. Times they are a changing.

It might damage the environment of the Persian Gulf region... I suppose Eisenhower should have filed and environmental impact statement before liberating western Europe. (Actually is it too late to give France back?)

I'll bet, at this moment, Hillary regrets dumping Cuomo. But I'm sure she has a plan to get back into good graces with the Italian-American community.
- Hillary will soon make sure to have photo-ops with Nancy .
- Hillary will be photographed while eating calamari in NY's Little Italy.
- Hillary will be trying to reach out to NY Italians after she shoved Cuomo aside on Columbus Day.
- Hillary will be searching out any Italian roots her own family has, so she can bring them to the attention of the press.
Remember how Hillary pointed out that one of her parents married a Jewish person later in life? That was when it was to Hillary's advantage to stress a Jewish connection.

When I heard Ford jumping into the ring, I thought we were in for trouble...but they rejected that intelligent, popular and reasonable BLACK MAN for a rich white woman in two heartbeats!! My gosh. Go Dems!! Dig that hole!!Looks like the Dems are going for the Italian-American vote.
Hillary might regret dumping Cuomo for McCall, on Columbus Day, no less.

I'm geting the distinct impression in the last two days that that media sees things as we do, and DOES NOT WANT Pelosi to win the job.
It seems that deep down they know she will marginalize the party even more than the clintons do.

heard MSNBC refer to her as a "Liberal Democrat". If they refer to her as liberal, that boggles the mind!

The problem is that they probably meant it as a compliment. I HEARD it, and although it didn't sound as degrading as it could have, it wasn't said mushy-like. It was music to the ears.
