This may have some effect on whether John Edwards runs for Prez. As I understand it, NC law does not permit Edwards to simultaneously run for re-election and president. He'll have to choose on or the other. I doubt a GOP House will be changing the laws for his benefit.

Let the RATS try their garbage when we redistrict this Spring. We have the House. We are 6 to 1 on the Supreme Court. We are competitive in the Senate.
Let's lock this victory down and go get Edwards.

Is that really the law here (she asks, showing her ignorance of her own state)?

Does that mean y'all could get concealed-carry reciprocity with your Southern neighbor (SC)?

Looks like WE have our work cut out for us! So who's first? Weasley or Edwards?

Not all of us
UNC grads are lefties. Got to have a few moles in the enemy camp. I posted this on the NC Board:
Dark days indeed for my beloved alma mater: Phil Baddour is the brother of UNC Athletic Director Dick Baddour, who is *NOT* having a good year; Tar Heel alum Erskine Bowles loses by a bigger-than-expected margin, despite Dean Smith's help, to a Dukie; and of course the late Senator Wellstone was an all-ACC rassler at Carolina. Now, about that John Edwards...

Phil Baddour is the brother of UNC Athletic Director Dick Baddour, who is *NOT* having a good year...Aren't they related to the founders of Mount Olive Pickles?

Thanks for moving this to Breaking News.
I do try to post there sparingly.

I guess it would all depend on what their priorities are.
There are a lot of Democratic messes to clean up in this state.

Majority Leader Phil Baddour,
