Well Bush keeps kickin a$$! Someday people stop underestimating him.In the President's great way of putting it, shouldn't that be "Someday people stop misunderestimating him"? Seems to me his "strategery" keeps winning the day!

Syria was expected (as of last evening) to be the only "no" vote. That they, an adjoining radical Arab state, could be induced to approve this thing either means that the resolution has too many escape clauses or that Syria accepts that real change is in the works

Yeah, I think the GOP sweeps, as well as some convincing backchannel diplomacy, showed the UN Security Council the handwriting on the wall.
Dubya (and therefore the US) wins again!
The word "strategery" is about to find its way into the dictionary, as well as history books.
Based on how he keeps outflanking his critics and opponents with clever misdirection and a stunningly non-Clintonian lack of egotism, I believe President Bush is a big fan of Sun Tzu.
Underestimate our President, and our nation, at your peril.

No, this is more a matter of they quickly realized that:
1. Bush was NOT kidding about taking Saddam alone.
2. Even if some of them WANTED to do something about it, it would not work.
3. They realized they not only are dealing with a determined U.S., but a VERY POWERFUL, ANGRY, and DETERMINTED U.S. They're going to go along - because we're not in the mood to be ****ed with.

Of course. They stalled past the election hoping a shift in power here would drive Bush of course. When that didn't happen, they caved.

I don't agree with you. When it comes right down to the bottom line, I believe the Arab countries fear Iraq as much as we do but don't want to say so in public because of citizens of their own Country!
Cannot believe that any Country would want to live next door to someone who would take over their Country without even thinking.

Regarding "PRESIDENT BUSH":
I'm have the time of my life watching this countries ELECTED PRESIDENT continue to expose the morons who continue to regard him as stupid.
It just goes to confim that even the lowest forms of life learn from their mistakes except those that are blinded by failed thoughts and ideas.

"Iraq will announce it's approval shortly." And be in non-compliance ten minutes later.

Oh great.
I suppose this will set the precedent to argue in the future that the U.S. has acquiesced to allowing the UN zoo to take over American sovereignty?
What a crock.
When the UN shows me the enforced resolutions to prevent the millions dead from senseless volence in Africa and Asia, I might begin to take that historical Joke seriously...
