[history]
In the final hours of what victor Norm Coleman would call "this most incredible campaign," Rick Kahn is reported to have waited nervously with his family for results in Minnesota's U.S. Senate race.
If Walter Mondale were to defeat Coleman, Kahn told a Newsweek reporter Tuesday night, he might attend the celebration with Mondale's supporters at the St. Paul Radisson Hotel.

Should try to find this loser's address and send him a thank you note (there are several "Rick Kahn's" in Minnesota, so I don't know which address is the right one). Couldn't find his law office address.
Anyone?

"We've all made mistakes," he said. "Can't we find it now in our hearts to forgive?"
Only regrets you have you scum is that you lost If you cared about anything but the arrogant pursuit of power you wouldn't have had that farce of a ceremony

That's the amoral liberal way. Do any disgusting thing you want, then say you're sorry - that makes it OK.
And obviously, people are increasingly tired of this moral bankruptcy.

Those photos of Mundale and Clinton yukking it up at the "fun-eral" were worth more than money to the pubs. Kahn is contrite now but had Mundale won he would be outfront with his blathering mouth. As it is, being a shell of a man, he is unable to repent.

I'm still trying to find out the identity of the ugly girl that kept screaming "We Will Win".

"We've all made mistakes," he (Mondull) said. "Can't we find it now in our hearts to forgive (Kahn)?" I forgive him so much I want him to make another speech on election-eve 2004.

Perhaps the Dems can get Wellstone stuffed ala Lenin (their hero). Then they can bring him out, parade him around every election. After a few years, you plop him next to Hitlery and she might start looking better...well on second thought.

He added, "Even though people continued to cheer, there was a lot of shifting in seats and realizing that this was something different." LOL... yeah, right. It's all Rick's fault. They all cheered, clapped, and stomped, but they weren't responsible for it. Other speakers were just as partisan, but they weren't responsible either. Blame Rick.
That rally grew more and more partisan and less and less "memorial" as the night went on. It was planned that way, and the Democrats LOVED it at the time. They loved the fact that they hijacked every non-cable television broadcast in the state, and couldn't resist the urge to use it as a campaign commercial. They loved booing the token Republicans in attendance.
They loved it all, until they realized it had backfired.

...several "Rick Kahn's"...How many in Minnetonka?
To: GreatOne
"All I was talking about at the rally was that Paul was a brother to me," Kahn says in the report. What a slip! He admits that it wasn't 'just a memorial'. It was a rally, pure and simple, and the final bit of evidence came out of his own mouth.

The rats are throwing Kahn and the Wellstone kids to the wolves to protect themselves.
I defy any of them to show any substantive difference in tone, tenor, content, or intent between Kahn's speech and that of keynote speaker Tom Harkin.
There was none.
To: GreatOne
We oughta send hium flowers. Like Hugh Hewitt did to Pat Leahy.
To: GreatOne
The dimcRATS just couldn't resist pulling the corpse from the wreckage and flopping it on the stage, using the coffin as a platform and proclaiming that a "vote for the Democratics is a vote for Wellstone"
Its too bad that the last curtain call for Wellstone was a partisan political act - he should have been remembered as the humanitarian that he was.....but its too late for that.
Its also too bad that DemocraticUnderground no longer lets anyone read the forums....they now have to pay to access the Website. Its now a "subscriber only" service. Too funny!

WE WILL WIN!
WE WILL WIN!

BWAHAHAHAHA.....screw sending them a note - get a copy of the 'memorial' footage on RealPlayer and send that to them followed by a clip of loud, gloating laughter.

The Richard S. Kahn noted in #10 is the only "Kahn" actively practicing law in MN.

It wasn't about politics. It wasn't about partisan politics. Uh, Rick? It was so much about partisan politics that it energized the opposition and cost you the election. But at least it relieves us of that idiotic "that's what Wellstone would have wanted" crapola - that gent may have wanted a lot of things, but getting his boy's butt kicked wasn't one of them.

of course his phone number is in the book too, but I will refrain from publishing it here.
That Democratic Rally was the most disgusting event I have seen in a while.
