"Anyone else avoiding tv so you won't see their gloating faces?" (From an enemy website)

When the alarm went off this am and I heard NPR announce 'GOP takes Senate,' I refused to put on the Today show so I wouldn't see Russert's bloated puss. Driving to work, refused to listen to talk radio (I live in North Carolina and didn't want to hear about 'Liddy' that lying bitch. The people in NC are going to be pissed when what few manufacturing and textile jobs that remain leave the state and Dole doesn't do squat to stop Bush from giving them to Turkey and Pakistan in return for their support in the war on terra.) I was so depressed at work, even listening to Malloy didn't help. Won't watch Crossfire, just to avoid Tucker and Novak beaming. Won't have tv on O'Reilly because watching him gloat would be unbearable. And Hardball, won't ever watch that show again with Mathews and supreme whore Fineman. I wonder if cable news channels ratings will drop since Democrats are such a nonentity and don't make interesting opponents. There is always celebrity crime (Winona Ryder/Robert Blake). Thank God for this Forum.

I am openly laughing at their pain. Maybe Clintoon can feel it for them.

...I don't hate CNN near as much today...

It was all just an act to sucker in long term viewers.

Carville knows he needs to find work, the trash can gave him a human look

Hey, they can always watch The West Wing. I understand President Bartlett won re-election last night. And that's the only thing Dems won all week!

Thank God for this Forum.

This inclusion of this addendum on a liberal's post always causes me to pause and wonder: to what deity is this "thanks" being directed? It must be a deity that takes pleasure in sodomy, gay marriage, and late-term abortions.

Clinton likes a C or D cup. His hands start twitching.

His wife(?) avoids all things sexual... she is above that.

These two make The Munsters look normal.

LOL! They're over there, the whole motley crew of gay activists, Gaeia worshippers, and Clinton toadies, having a consoling group hug and humming the melody of the Internationale.

Ug. Next time you give a warning I will take it seriously. I think we have identified the next poet laureate of NJ.

She was flying on Food Lion's Beech-jet from Charlotte to some famous clinic in Rochester Minn.

That would be Mayo Clinic. My dad served in WW II in Dr. Charlie Mayo's US Army medic unit (think MASH - my dad said there really WAS a HotLips Houlihan-type woman in the unit ;-).

LOL, I followed your link back to Bartcop and found this.

It appears the left still has one refuge on TV:

"If we only had more strong, committed progressives like Phil Donahue"

Honest to koresh, if only those pink-tutu Dems could have the backbone of true progressives like Phil (and his friends Mike and Ralph). I mean, progressives like Phil would never cave or conciliate when faced with the powers that be. They wouldn't compromise and say "yes, sir." No, they would stand their ground and fight for the real values we believe in. As witnessed in tonight's Donahue show, which consisted, segment by segment, of:

(a) A 3-member panel reviewing all the significant facts of the Winona Ryder case and the fine points of the prosecution and defense tactics.

(b) A full rundown of all the wild and wacky ballot questions on yesterday's ballots, including the one on pregnant pigs.

(c) An intriguing and original discussion about the banning of smoking in Florida restaurants.

(d) A heartbreaking interview with a mom whose son has been declared dead by the military. They said they found his clothes by the ocean, he must've drowned. She said he was afraid of the water. The military is probably, gasp, lying.

(e) An exclusive interview with Everybody Loves Raymond's Ray Romano! Including a hilarious reminiscence about the time Ray performed at one of Phil's birthday parties.

God, if we didn't have Donahue on the tube, we'd never hear about real progressive issues. He's beating the tar out of the Bush administration. What spine! It was the best post-election programming I've seen: asking the real questions about how the Republicans took complete control of the country's agenda.

I would worry about this if Donawho wasn't in the ratings cellar, says something about the 'progressive' movement in America.

Oh lighten up, will ya? It was funny, I was happy, and if Carville had opened his mouth, I would have switched back to Fox. I did anyway when Begala started talking.

This is the first time I've ever looked at DU, they sound a lot like Freerepublic, only less mean-spirited. They all seem to think that the media is full of a bunch of right-wingers. Pretty interesting.

Less mean-spirited? Where on FR do you find calls for genital mutilation of opponents? Where on FR do you find oblique calls for the assassination of opponents? Where on FR do you find fervent wishes for the nuclear destruction of American cities? Where on FR do you find the widespread hope that the U.S. lose a war badly enough that the government be deposed?

I've been here on freerepublic a long time, only 10 min or so on DU. I can honestly say that a large majority of freepers are mean-spirited. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough at DU.

I believe you have stumbled upon your true home at DU. Enjoy your stay in liberal la-la land.
