DU just shut down their discussion forums, claiming they couldn't handle the load.... I wonder if there was just to much dem bashing going on by their own members for that partisan freak running the place to take.

I just found this wonderful line: "I cried FOR FIVE MINUTES after I left the Ron Kirk "victory" Party (the last person I said goodbye to was Sheila Jackson Lee)."
You sure it was Kirk's loss that caused you to cry, dear?

The great thing is, if all the DU'ers who say "I'm leaving" actually leave... Yeah, and I'm still waiting for the Baldwin boys to leave the US. Sigh...

----Why do we care? Seriously? How does one better themselves by reading this crap? I'm a little surprised by the 'told-ya-so' attitude. We're better than that, and them.----
Because we must never forget what weve always fought against.

Yeah ... looks like after two solid days, they finally figured out which switch to flip.

I just strayed over to DU for the first time to read some threads. It was creepy. Not creepy in the sense of their politics which I disagree with - but in the total lack of any sort dissent or criticism of the party. I tried clicking on threads that demanded MacAuliffe's resignation and they had been pulled- ones calling for the party to move left- and that had been pulled- ones questioning the party leadership and they had been pulled as well. I tried reading a few other threads and they discussed nothing of import or seemed to have any debate on what should be done next. I saw virtually no internal debate on any issue. There were no arguments among facitons that we have here. I came away with a sense that the site was utterly ossified and totally monolithic in outlook.

I was listening to a replay of Hugh Hewitt and he said something like this:
"If you really want to see what effect this Tuesday's election had on liberal democrats, go to democratic underground. It looks like they're all about to commit a mass suicide over there. Yep, they're mixin' the kool-aid and puttin' on the Nike sneakers!"
