Isn't nearly 40% no (Anstead) pretty much unparalleled in those retention votes?

All comments for Libby in NC are grim. :0(
Hume is making it sound not so good.

One of the local networks just released early results for the Governor's race. With about 650 votes counted, Sanford (R) 62% and Hodges (D) 38%. Nice start.

Chris Chocola (GOP) 17,713The GOP's running a guy named Chocola? Like Count Chocola? wtf?
My other favorite name this year is Posthumus (Mich.?). Would have been a good name for the Minn. race...

I know how you feel, I have the tv on in the other room low so I can't hear it real well. I was trying to watch, then they had some rat woman on there accusing the Pubbies of dirty tricks at the polls. She had a sneer on her piggy face and proceeded to say unchallenged that the Pubbies were trying to stop black people from voting. That did it for me! I was going ballistic!

Are you referring to Dick Pothumus? I hope he's not a 'come from behind' candidate.... 0)
To: KsSunflower
Yeah, I heard Hume and Shep discussing NC and they seemed to be hinting at an upset, though Shep said they "weren't projecting." Very worried about that. Hopefully absentee ballots would make a difference for Dole if it's close??

For the people that threw out the TV, what is "Journeys with George"
Good to see you on board!

"RAW numbers out of SC.......Graham---- R .....57% to the RAT---Sanders...43%!!!!!! "
That looks good even though its early. Honestly, I don't expect that race to be close at the end. It may get crazy mid way through but I think its Graham. :)

Yeah - it sounded like Fox knew that Bowles is going to win, but they can't yet call it. Very bad news - so is the early returns for Cleland/Chambliss.
I'm getting worried early...
To: habs4ever
Absolutely!
A pic of Chris Matthews crying is what I'm really hoping for.
To: jwalsh07
I'm afraid some of the purists will be celebrating about how they taught the GOP a lesson by either staying at home or voting for Bowles, too.
Like a Daschle-run Senate will help conservatism any...

Isn't nearly 40% no (Anstead) pretty much unparalleled in those retention votes? It is unprecendented, no Supreme Court justice has ever been voted out.
Before the night is over that may change.
