One striking thing about watching the MN numbers is that they are VERY consistent. It looks honest, no big jumps, no big strategic withholding. The consistency of this looks very good for the Repubs in MN.

"Thune's election won't be certain for at least a couple hours. The secretary of state had to have a computer chip driven up from Nebraska to repair a malfunctioning tabulation machine. About 6,000 votes won't be counted until then."

Chips containing program code no doubt.

I believe Hillary's probably smilin' big tonight. The way is now completely clear for her to run for president in '04, "for the good of the country."

This reminds me of 94 -- the Clinton lead D party rolled over and let the R's win. That's when the counter punching began for the Clinton re-election of 96.

It will be Hillary and Edwards in 2004.

I agree that was a very gracious concession speech. I had lost my father suddenly just a month before her husband died, he was huge Conservative. Know its not quite same but the feelings for loss always there.

If Jean Carnahan had been gracious enough to confirm John Ashcroft as Attorney General, she might not have had to give her concession speech tonight. Live and learn!!!! Glad Dims are so dense.

I hear that Largent basically beat himself during the campaign. For a Republican NOT to win in Oklahoma, he has to run a pretty inept campaign. I'm not too sure what happened, but I think he cussed out a reporter during an interview and got some bad press for some other things, deservedly or not.

won't do us any good—unless, that is, the "independent" from MN decides to caucus with the GOP

I understand that at least he believes strongly that Bush's judicial appointees ought to be voted on.
