A question. In 2004 what is the re-election breakdown by party in the Senate for 2004? The last 2 cycles saw the pubs with lopsided numbers, should be the dems turn to put up more incumbents. Your correct, the Dims have to defend the lion's share of seats next time. Makes tonight very impressive, doesn't it...if the good guys can take the senate going against history and the odds.

If that margin holds, it would appear to be so. The President made an appearance there for her the past week or so, didn't he? Surely must have helped.

CNN --- 1% precincts reporting for Virginia Senate, Warner(R) 87%Not a bad showing by his opponent at 13%. Oh yeah, there is no opponent. A lot of Mickey Mouse, Pat Paulson and undecideds I guess.

Republican leading Carson in Indiana House seat, with 30% in.

* A DUh quote: "My House Is Across The Street From A Polling Place And damn repub freepers have stuck campaign signs on my lawn at the last moment, even though we've told them time and time again to get lost whenever they came to solicit our spot.

To: JavaTheHutt
LOL....Warner is running unopposed...all he had to do is vote for himself....1 vote and he wins.

In an effort to avoid the TV, I actually am cleaning. Husband is at work until 10:30 and I am alone with the 3 kids. I can't bear the thought of reliving election 2000 alone! At least here the news is filtered and I don't have to listen to the obnoxious talking heads moping about GOP wins or exulting over even the hint of a Dem win. It's like a car wreck, though. I don't want to watch, but I know I will anyway!
