Fox said Thune camp "Giddy", because if they are only 3,000 down and later Western time zone has not been counted yet, which is strong Republican

Kansas City just came in and gave a net 43,000 to Carnahan, cutting Talent's lead in half (that was 7,000 less than the 50,000 I guessed). If the rest of my prediction holds (a net of 17,000 Carnahan votes from the rest of the St. Louis city, wich is 64% in already), then Talent wins.

I hate the election turning on the amount of fraud in St. Louis, but MN is looking great after 20% of the vote in.

"One way or the other, we made a family vow tonight that we will be out within three years....."

I would personally appreciate your leaving sooner, say less than 2 years if possible.

If I were you, I'd check out France.

Algore, jesse jerkson and Bill Klintoon all were down in Florida over the weekend for McBribe.

What a bunch of pathetic perverted socialists

I hope they campaign for the rats in 2004 as well.

For certain, we need to start a dump Lott campaign. The idea is to grind the Democrats into powder, not powder their behinds with talcum powder and kiss their boo boos.

"It's time to kill CFR now before the 2004 vote. Republicans have control now, what's to stop them. "

I hear ya and second that. LOL While we're at it lets throw McCain out with the bathwater.

Did he just say " But, you won't know or see where we've moved until we strike.."
Yeah - he sounds like he could be a spokesman for Al Qaeda.

I thought that's what he said ..

Geez .. of all the things to say .. THAT was not it

danny boy....

You're not starting out very well here -- you're debating like a Democrat, starting out with ridicule and name-calling. Odds are I'm old enough to be your father.

please...the only thing libertarians help is their own little wimpy egos...egos strong enough to throw a temper tantrum and take their ball and go home...

Once again, you're making the mistake of thinking that people who vote libertarian (or any other third party) are "throwing a tantrum". As I explained, they're not. They have rational reasons for voting the way they do.

Since you're apparently unable to grasp it the first time around, let me explain it in three short simple sentences:

1. They're not as wild about Republicans as you are; therefore, it's hardly irrational for them to not vote for same.

2. They, like you, vote their conscience, which (gasp) happens to differ from yours.

3. By pulling enough votes from the two major parties to affect the election outcomes, they gain enough political clout to cause both parties to sway towards the positions they desire (unlike, say, blacks, who keep voting for Democrats no matter how often they get screwed, and thus keep getting taking for granted and get more of the same).

In short, they vote for their preferred candidates for the same reasons you probably do.

It does you no credit to throw your own little snit about the fact that some voters happen to choose candidates other than the ones *you* like, and to declare them isane for it. In fact, it bespeaks of an enormous arrogance on your part, and it's not pretty.

by electing demorats, you are asking and going to get MORE govt...MORE laws...MORE taxes....MORE infringement on personal rights not less...

...until the Republicans stop acquiescing on the very same points, and start growing enough of a spine to win back the libertarian voters. This is the part you're missing.

you lose....no matter what you say.....you lose everything with the dems in control...

Unfortunately, the Republicans have given in on too much of the same. At least the libertarian voters are refusing, on principle, to support it.

Let's view this from a different perspective: I'll presuming that you're staunchly pro-life. Quick, now, would you vote for a Republican that was blatantly pro-choice, even if he was slightly less pro-choice than his opponent? Why or why not?

That's how principled libertarians feel about voting for Republicans just because "they don't give away our rights quite as fast as the Democrats".

Your mileage may differ (as well as your preferred "hot button" issues). But you only sound foolish when you froth at the mouth over someone failing to vote the way *you* would vote.

however, I am sure the dems will give you your drugs and your kiddie porn, because that is about all you libertarians seem to care about....

What are you, twelve?

Child, I voted straight-party Republican today. What does that do to your immature little preconceptions?

You owe me an apology for attacking me with your disgusting insults merely because I tried to explain why a libertarian vote is note a "wasted" or "idiotic" vote if one happens to care about libertarian issues. For my non-partisan political analysis, I get accused of "only caring about drugs and kiddie porn". Apologize now, if you have any honor whatsoever. I expect one post haste.

Or perhaps you have far fewer principles than those you accuse...

And no matter what, grow the hell up. Your post was disgraceful and inexcusable on intellectual, moral, emotional grounds.

Sadly enough perhaps the only salvation and hope left for this country is for Herr Bush and his thugs to invade Iraq. Hopefully, that will blow up in his face and we can get back on track again.

Translation: It's perfectly fine if tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, of young American soldiers die, as long as it gives the Democrats a poll boost. Yeah, RATS are really the kind of people I want to run my country. NOT.

As for the average american - if you dimwits who voted repug tonight had any idea of history you would have voted differently. As it is, I hope you dont mind when the police knock down your door becuase you "think" differently.

Mm-hmm. Just like you've been saying was gonna happen since 9/12?

Oh and by the way - a little note to the repug cretins - all the guns in the world wont help you if they do decide to take you away. I do hope though that they shoot you with your favourite weapon - isnt that a wonderful way to go?

Just remember, moron, you're in this country too. If the "repugs" get nuked, so do you. Great strategy.

Hey folks..I'm not trying to be an FR cheerleader here. But simply want to ask that the next time an FR fundraiser comes around, let's try to give it all we can.

Tonight is shaping up to be historic. Many of us got to share in it through the means of FR. Next time were called upon to keep this thing alive, remember tonight.

It's a great time folk's, I'm glad I could share it with all of you.

You know, reading the comments over on DU (got it up in a separate window), it shares an awful lot of similarity to FR when we're down in the dumps.

Does it? I can't remember, it's been so long since we've suffered such humiliation. In fact, have we ever, as long as FR has existed?
